That is SOOO in the spirit of this thread! :rotfl:

Although, as a girl, if I grow a beard at any point during reading, I will be most alarmed! ;)

ooo just found this thread thanks to a link on no buy toiletries . main weaknesses are oxfam and the bookpeople.com.im thinking a target of reading 20 books before i buy anymore seems possible-currently reading "not buying it-judith levine" and "ghost town" which is book 9 in a series-thought it was the last one but another one coming out later this year :P

    Welcome Mariella!:T
I've just cancelled my email and catalogue subscription with TBP because I keep falling victim to their fab prices and think it's time I started reading the books rather than buying them!:rotfl:
  • Finished the deceleration last night, quite enjoyed the ending. Going to make a start on the follow up to it, the resistence tonight, though might not get as much read as i'd like, i'm up early tomorrow for work :( So no 4am reading for me!!

The past week i've reading till about 3:30/4am and i have loved it! Finished 3 books in 1 week so far! On the other hand i've not been getting up till 12pm, been on backshifts in work though, plus i'm only getting 3 hour shifts at the moment :( So been working 5-8's and 6-9's. Start at 11 tomorrow, and not looking forward to it! Then back to uni on Tuesday...so no more late night reading for a while!

I sympathise...I've been getting short, shi1tty shifts at work as well, and I notice that I tend not to wind down until later when I'm working late, meaning I go to bed at stupid hours and then get up much later, too. Still, the upside is you are powering through your books! :D

Well today did not quite go as planned, even though i had my alarm set for 9, i turned it off and fell back asleep! So i ended up waking up at 10:20...giving me 5 minutes to get ready for work!!!!
    Never again!

On another note, i did manage about 100 pages last night!! :j
