Just finished Chris Evans Memoirs of a Fruitcake (his autobiography part 2) and it gets :T:T:T:T:T from me.
Now reading Maeve Binchy, Minding Frankie, and enjoying it.
Think I might tackle Lord Sugar nextYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Just had a quick relook at my 'Clear Your Clutter' book by Karen Kingston. She has a section on people with lots of books. By clearing out excess books she says you can make room for new interests & relationships.
I was spurred on before Christmas, have finished 'The Weaker Vessel' by Antonia Fraser, and one of the books about the Civil War, Also the book by John McCarthy & Jill Morrell about the time he was a hostage in Beirut. Enjoyed all these.
One novel about the Gunpowder Plot has gone to my mother.
Now have on the Go 'The Secret Life of Water' by Masaru Emoto (amazing book, the pictures of water crystals are so interesting, did you know water responds to different words in different ways? ), I'm still on a book about the British constitution, (nearly finished) and another book on the Civil War. Also a book about Celtic things, a novel about Welsh life about 100 years ago(nearly finished this too) and the autobiography of a Welsh Punk Rocker (hadn't realised how well known the group had been). Oh and a John Grisham novel. (this won't take me long I don't think).
Have only acquired 2 new books - one I was given for Christmas, old Celtic tales. And one came free with a magasine!
What an interesting list of reading material. I like seeing what everyone is reading!charlies_mum wrote: »Just finished Chris Evans Memoirs of a Fruitcake (his autobiography part 2) and it gets :T:T:T:T:T from me.

Hope you dont get" fired":rotfl:
Seriously, I'd be interested to know how you rate it!
So far this year I have read:
I Still Dream of You by Fannie Flagg
At Sea by Laurie Graham
I love both of these authors and thoroughly enjoyed both books
Currently reading The Snowman by Jo Nesbo, so far so good. I think he's an excellent writer, his plots are great with lots of twists.
I got all of these from the library. My "problem" is that our library is brilliant for ordering from, so I keep getting my books from there and not tackling my "to read" pile. Its not getting any less. Maybe I should alternate between the pile and the library.
So many books.......so little time:(

I got that out of the library today: I'm already 100 pages into it. It's really good so far: it might not last until tomorrow night. Please call me 'Pickle'

I just finished 'Memoires of a Fruitcake' by Chris Evans and I totally concur with charlies_mum: it was well written, far more intelligent than I bet most people would expect from him, thought-provoking, funny, sad and thoroughly entertaining.
