Hi Guys, I'm still on reading TGL&PPPS - I'm enjoying it but not getting through it very fast. Might start bringing it to work and going away from my desk for an hour at lunchtime.footymadgal wrote: »I've finished reading The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. I was so pleased it had 600+ pages as I loved this book. Can anyone recommend any other of her books? Not that I am looking to acquire one just yet, of course [cough].
I love her TBA is one of my faves, and I also really loved The Edible Woman which I believe is her first. The Robber Bride is supposed to be very good too but it's currently languishing on my TBR shelfI have, but I can't be bothered to list them all !
Same here!!
I've been trying to lose the paunch people have been (so rudely:cool:) commenting on

How I envy you! I have tried twice & failed to type out my list of TBR books, I would love to get this done so that I know exactly what I have on the shelves. If truth be told I'd really love one of those book database programmes & a barcode scanner to save me the effort!
Well done on your list :beer:0 -

Thanks for the recommendation, I have made a note of it for a future read (probably from the library).
I am halfway through The Angel's Game, another great book.0 -
Ladsmadd - I keep telling myself that too! :rotfl:
Maybe if we get snowed in I'll tackle the pile, failing that we coould use the books for insulation:rotfl:

phew, i could have read a book in the time it took to type out the ecclectic mix off my shelf:rotfl:anyone else got such a random mix of books?

Yes - I'm trying not to look at it as it's on my Santa wish list!;) I really enjoyed the first instalment!

Just found this challenge and would love to join - Guess I should take the first step. My name is Lisa and I am a Bookaholic!!!
I must have at least 50 books that I have bought and not read - I was terrible a couple of weeks ago, I accompanied my mum to Radiotherapy and bought 7 books in the charity shop there!! They were only 50p each and I keep telling myself its for a worthy cause LOL - however for £3.50 thats less than 1 new book!! Anyway one of my jobs next week is to sort out a big bag to take down there in return!! Will try not to browse while I'm there
Just finished The Pi**ed off Parents Club by Mink Elliot which I really enjoyed, and am just starting Jill Mansell's Take a chance on Me. As you can see I am a chick Lit fan, but will read most things!! This board is now giving me lots of new books I want to read:rotfl:
