I've just finished 'The Fry Chronicles'. It was good - very good - once I got past the initial chapter and 'got into it'.

    Clap rating: :T :T :T :T 1/2. (Maybe it deserves 5 and i'm being harsh.)

  • I am failing miserably at this no more book buying. I'm frequenting charity shops in order to try and find natty ties for my sister (don't ask) and in three I mangaed to avoid the well stocked and well priced bookshelves (although a jacket did jump into my bag when I wasn't looking). Unfortunately I caved in the third and came out with four books for £6.50, admittedly one is a hardback replacement for a cheap paperback but still...and I don't think i'll be able to offset these new ones by taking the equivalent amount back to a charity shop, at the moment all I have is well loved or unread books.

Well, at least you are trying. :) Get onto those unread books and see what damage you can do! ;)

  • I have fallen off the wagon again and succumbed to the tempting allure of new books :o Bought yesterday on 3for2:
    • The tent, the bucket and me by Emma Kennedy
    • Bad Science by Ben Goldacre
    • How to teach Quantum physics to your dog by Chad Orzel
On the upside I managed to sell 'Mini Shopaholic' on Amazon thus covering the cost of one of my purchases so not too bad really;)

Currently reading 'Little Face' by Sophie Hannah.

I've bought a book for my massage course, but the price of it has been covered by the sale of something I no longer need on Ebay, so that's positive recycling in my book (har har!). :)

Am currently reading Wuthering Heights and liking it very much, but managed to drop blackberry juice all over it tonight. :( Good job it was just a 99p copy!

    Shuffles in to confess.......

Took advantage of the Amazon offer through Martins email last week and got 2x£6 vouchers for £2.
I bought three books - There's nothing like a dame - Elaine C Smith ( for my Mum's Christmas) and
The Woodsman's Daughter - Gwyn Hyman Rubio

Made in America - Billie Letts.

I really like both of these authors and they dont have their books in my library.

The total was £12.46 so I got the three for £2.46 , mini spend really!;)

Mini spend, big bargains - well done Jinty!

Still reading Wuthering Heights and liking it very much - don't think it will be very long now before it's finished. :)
