Hi Xandersmum
I've just gotten into the Debbie Macomber books, wanted a change from chick lit but still wanted a bit of romance!! Anyway, found 16 Lighthouse Road was the first in the series. Managed to get up to number 5 from the library but then ended up getting the rest off Amazon market place and flying them in from USA at the cost of £4.21 per book. They were all new and so I was realy chuffed. The stories all carry a thread from one into the other and the characters feature throughout. Debbie Macomber also does the Blossom Street series which are books featured around a knitting shop. Very light and easy to get through, ideal at the end of the day. EnjoyI got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -
Just finished 'Her Fearful Symmetry' by Audrey Niffenegger (who wrote the Time Travellers Wife). Really enjoyed it, but then I love a good ghost story. Gets :T:T:T:T from me.
Now reading the Midwife Trilogy. Already read 'Call the Midwife', but really enjoyed it, so reading it from the beginning.
Have Debbie Macomber 'The Shop on Blossom Street' on my pile, so will read that one next, thanks for the recommendationYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I too love Philippa Gregory's books. The Other Boleyn Girl and The Boleyn Inheritance I have read and thoroughly enjoyed. I was surprised as historical novels are really not my thing.
I'd no idea there was another novel about one of Henry VIII's wives, although I've clearly read them in the wrong order I might see if I can beg steal or borrow this one from somewhere, thanks!charlies_mum wrote: »I love Philippa Gregory, have bought her new one 'The Red Queen' but have given it to DH to hide for Christmas.
