Well thank god for all the other bad mummys :p

Im a bad mum because I never BF either of my children and never had any intention of doing so.

I let my son who's 9 play games like half life (yes he does know it's a game etc blah blah blah lol)

I let my daughter live in her disgrace of a room. I make gestures but yes have given up fighting with her about it (most of the time)

I have always used wet wipes and disposable nappies.

I let my son eat food he likes e.g chicken nuggests and burgers rather than him go hungry because he wont eat what we do.

    I smoked during both pregnancys.

I didnt cuddle my daughter immediately she was born, instead I accepted the midwifes offer of cleaning her up first.

Actually I could probably name endless things but i'd be here for days:rotfl:

This is the first time I've seen this thread and I haven't had time to read all pages but I have LOL'd at so many of these...and share many of the equally bad traits. Somehow mine have made it to the ages of 15 and 18 without dying of some terrible disease from having non sterilised dummies (if they were old enough to crawl and try to eat worms then a fluffy dummy wasn't gonna finish them off, being allowed pizza and chicken nuggets, or being psycologically scarred by their dad land I splitting up when they were 7 and 5. My low point as bad mum came when my 2yr old wanted a wee but I told him to 'hang on a minute while mummy tries to buy some Liverpool tickets on the phone'....some 25 minutes later he had unsurprisingly peed on the stairs but I did get my tickets :)

I let DD eat nutella on toast for breakfast regularly, or as a nice snack, before she gets sent into nursery :p
Fish fingers are a staple in this house as she is so fussy
I once jammed her finger in the door, and her nail fell off  It happened a year ago and she still remembers (just turned 4) and casts it up!
She gets to stay up late and watch CSI with us.
She sees her dad playing 18+ games on the PS3, and no she isn't traumatised or a potential serial killer.
I did the whole ff/disposable nappy/wipes, I have enough washing without adding nappies into the mix.
I still buy in wipes now for cleaning her chops, or wiping down the tops of the counters/cooker. They are so handy, dunno how I managed without them before!
She gets fizzy pop sometimes (because she nicks mine)

This thread has made me roar with laughter.

    I'm a bad mummy because....
    • I smoked through all 3 pregnancies
    • I also used to go to the pub regularly when expecting DS1 (and not for a lemonade)
    • I vowed never to give them dummies and gave in a few days after bringing DS1 home
    • I weaned all my boys at 10-12 weeks, my excuse was they were hungry babies, but mostly it was because I couldn't wait
    • They've all slept in with us at various stages
    • I had a tin of pineapple chunks open on the table and DS3 cut his fingers really badly
    • I use the tumble dryer as an iron
    • When they got on my nerves stuck in whinging on rainy days, I would change them into old clothes and wellies and let them play in the flooded field by our house til they were soaked through and filthy
    • I went to collect DS3 from school once and came home without him cos I was too busy talking to notice he wasn't following (only a 10 minute walk thank goodness)
    • I let my older ones put DS3 in a dolly's pushchair when he was a few months old and run round the field with him, only they turned a corner sharply and he flew out (he was fine)
    • I left him unsupervised long enough to drink 'Flash' (not once but twice!)
    • I lost a naked DS1 on a packed beach when he was 2 and couldn't find him for 20 minutes.
    • I put DS2's hair into dreadlocks and had a daily running battle with school over extreme hairstyles - at that point it wasn't a written policy, so they made it one after that.
Happily, all 3 are healthy, cheerful adults who bear me no grudge against their appalling upbringing!!

why has this made you laugh? im appaulled

Why are you appaulled at me, then go and post about being a bad mother yourself?
    Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
    And now the final frame
    Love is a losing game

I think this thread is a great idea, I am sure I will be posting on here when my baby is born in August :)

    I already have some 'confessions' to being a bad mummy;
I am going to use disposable nappies and wipes because I really cant be bothered with washing nappies and don't want the smelly things in the house!!
I am so far not enjoying pregnancy :( bar people looking after me, all the rest of it sucks!

    This thread is amazing!

I'm mummy to my DS Lewis (11 months) and I'm a bad mummy because:

    • I BF for a day before realising formula was the way to go!
    • I have only ever used disposable nappies (poo covered fabric in the washing basket )
    • I 'let him' pull daddies xbox games out of the cabinet as after many attempts at stopping him its clear he just won't listen!!
    • I don't sterilise his toys/dummy/bottle anymore.
    • I rely quite highly on fish fingers and chicken nuggets.
    • I let DS 'pet' and 'follow' the cat round and round.
    • On more than one occasion I have found DS eating cay food (dry of course)
    • I made up bottles in advance and used them outwith their apparent 1 hour life.
Theres probably so many more but they are the ones that spring to mind.

I love it when this thread gets updated...

Just to let you all know I'm an even worse mummy than I was before...My DD will now only eat 'minnie minkies' (willie winkies to you and I) so she's been living on them for about a week now

This thread was meant as a bit of light-hearted fun due to to all the 'good mummies' on this board.

Everyone of us on here is a bad mummy for one reason or another and therefore shouldn't be judging one of our own kind, even if there are things posted that we don't agree with :D
