The Bad Mummies Thread

I am a bad mummy because although our family could survive on my husband's wages pretty well, I am desperately checking the job websites and newspapers to find something to get me out of the house.
I am a bad mummy because I let my children (almost 2 and 4) eat crisps on an almost daily basis (I posted this on a message board I use and I got a serious slating for it!)
My children have occassional fizzy drinks. My two year old begs me for "Bizzy"
I am a bad mummy because I am home alone at the moment and one of the children spilled some of their weetabix on the table and I haven't bothered to clean it up. I will serve them their dinner beside the weetabix lump later and might eventually clean it before bed.0 -
Thank you all so much for your posts! You have made a nervous mum-to-be relax! I have never been perfect housewife material, and finding all the "MUST DO THIS!" or you will perish in hell with giant creepy crawlies nibbling at your bits type "advice" a bit daunting!
My Mum was also a foster mum, and I grew up in a hectic, slightly messy but love filled house.
I will try my best, but hey if standards slip every now and then I won't beat myself up too much.
Thanks again
Winky xRight now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before0 -
DS starts 'big' school in a couple of weeks....................and I can't wait!!
He finished nursery waaaaaaaaay back in July and it just so happens my uni holidays are the same time he's off so I've been a bit of a SAHM for a month now.
It's driving me mad. I can't wait till I wave him off at those school gates.
So I'm once again I'm a bad mummy because I can't wait to get rid of DSFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

When DS2 started fulltime school I was the Mom cheering and drinking champagne at 8.45am. All the other moms were standing around crying and missing their babies. Mine went into school without a backward glance and couldn't care less about leaving me. In my defence I must add that the local playgroup closed down just before DS2 could go to it and he was heartily sick of being home with me. Also he started school on my birthday, which is as good a reason to have champagne for breakfast as any.
I hope your son loves school0 -
OMG this thread is hilarious. I am joining you.
I am a bad mummy (2 DD)
I FF - didn't even bother with the powder bought the ready made stuff.
When I went to baby group I used to have a bottle already done and would watch in amazement as the good mummies mixed powder and water together in a shaker and then made up the bottles (obviously the really good mummies were breast feeding)
Both DD went straight into their own rooms on coming home from the maternity unit.
I never sterilised a bottles after about 8 weeks as I didn't sterilised the floor so didn't see the point.
I went back to work.
I used baby food.
Both of my DD have survived this terrible start to life, are both healthy, happy, well adjusted children. x0 -
I am a bad bad bad mummy.
We've been having problems with our daughter (20 months) since we got back from holiday a week ago. Firstly, she was jet-lagged and her sleep patterns were still fixed on Caribbean time. Then on saturday she learned how to climb out of her cot (as I found out when I discovered her half-way down the stairs ). Since then I've had to take off the side of the cot, and each night has turned into a battle of wills - with me putting her back in her bed about 100 times until she succumbed to exhaustion.
But tonight I left her to it - she was whining and moaning a bit, but not screaming outright, so I went downstairs and carried on with my evening. But a while ago I went back up to find her curled up asleep on the landing :rotfl:

I'm a baad mofo!
But no formula nor crisps nor fizzy nor dummies nr sweets not chocolates, 2 baths a day, veg at all meals, fruit for snacks, strict tv limits read story every night for each one, clean house, as many clean clothes as needed each day, make sure wife can be sahm, prioritise breakfast and dinner (and often lunch) with kids over work.
I do do disposable nappies tho.I think....0 -
I'm a bad mummy to Caits my 1 year old girl.
I let her watch TV
give her jars of food
she will eat crumbs off the floor
I pour a jug of water over her head in the bath to get the soap out (she hates me for this)
When she cries for no reason/attention I make fun of her by mock crying back (it works cos she stops crying and laughs! silly..)
I dont let her play with the dogs (again she hates me for this)
I dont always put shoes on her
I take her to the supermarket in her babygrow
I PUT her to bed at 8
I brush her teeth (she really hates me)
I dont let her play with the fake coal in the fireplace
I give her a dummy
I put 3 dummies in her cot at night so she won't cry when she "accidently" throws the first away.
I'm sure there is much more but I dont want to be known as an awfull mother, just a bad one :-p2011/12: Wii & mario cart £200 lego bundle Samsung Galaxy S3, 2 nights in London with flights, £200 spending money £1000 cash! Spongebob joke teller!
