I'm a very bad mummy because........................
I Bottle fed from day 1
I put a bottle of pre boiled water into the bottle warmer at bedtime (kept in bedroom) then I just add the milk powder when DS wakes ( saves having to brave a cold kithchen at 2 am)
I tried to cut DS finger nails at 5 days old and drew Blood ( only a very little bit ) :embarasse
DS has only ever had 3 baths in his entire life  ( mind you he's only 2 weeks old)
I'm sure that there will be plenty more that I can add over the next few weeks & months..................................................................................0 -
botttle warmers what are they?
DS wouldn't wait long enough for a bottle to warm up before he wanted to [STRIKE]stuff it down his neck[/STRIKE] feed and DD preferred cold, so that's what they got. Room temperature at best, straight from the fridge otherwise. It has left DD with a social problem though. To this day she prefers cold food to hot.

this morning my DS was helping me fix my old motorbike and his best warmest sleeping blanket now has the exact imprint of a BSA 500cc side chaincase on it, in extremely dirty oil. Also his washable nappy/face/hands seem to have picked some up as well.
I'm thinking your OH may have more to say about that than your DS ?! Well depending on what now happens to the favourite blanket I suppose.....
A couple of times my DD has fully undressed and poo'd EVERYWHERE overnight, wipes it on the wall, her face, the works - but the tears that follow "I know but eeyore can't have a cuddle because you've poo'd on his face" ........ heartbreaking

Only 6 months old though, so y'know maybe a bit early to be tying him down to one make of bike.
Oh yes, the OH was well impressed with both the blanket and DS having dirty oil all over them. I just told her, if she let me have this bike in the dining room as I wanted, then I wouldn't have to dress him up warm in fluffy blankets to go and work in the garage!
Female logic eh?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I am a bad mummy because...
- I weaned my children onto babyrice at 9 and 10 weeks respectively (coincidently they both started sleeping through the night as soon as I did this).
- I left them to cry to teach them how to fall asleep on their own.
- I microwaved their bottles.
- I sometimes bathed them in the kitchen sink!
- I let my DD have 3 dummies at a time and threw one over a wall in a fit of frustration when she was having a temper tantrum for it (she's almost 15 now and still won't let me forget that!)
- I quite often forgot to leave tooth fairy money under the pillow and would make up excuses that she was working a day shift etc.
- I never had a suitable punishment worked out for when I got to 3, when I was counting 1,2,3 to get them to do something and panicked they would find me out (I fessed up to my DD yesterday about this, and she told me the counting scared her silly!)
- My DS spent most of his early babyhood in his bouncing chair in the corner, because he was such a good baby and my DD was having her terrible twos!
- I had an attempt at BF'ing oldest but DS was on a bottle from birth, I wanted an easy life as I already had a toddler.
- I took them to macdonalds for a happy meal when they were about 1ish!
ETA: My MIL left her son in his pram outside a shop as they did in those days, did her shopping and then went home without him, she completely forgot she had left him there!! At least I'm not that bad!Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
Just want to be...Happy0 -

My twins did this, it was horrible. They did it aged 4, which made it somehow worseMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Yeah im also a bad mummy...
I bottle fed heated in microwave.
Let him have choc buttons at 4 months old
Mc Donalds Milkshake spoon fed at 6 months old(he loved it)
Hes now 8,
He dosnt brush his teeth twice a day as hes lazy,
He's learnt how to make a cup of tea and toast
He uses the microwave to heat up milk for cereal (gives me a lie in!)
We have a pj day every now and then, coz were too lazy to get dressed.
He plays on his computer longer than an hour EVERYDAY!
He eats sweets EVERYDAY!
He owns more clothes and shoes than i do and grows out of things all the time having only worn them once.
I dont make him wash his hands b4 dinner coz i forget.
Somtimes he will go and play outside on the trampoline and not bother putting shoes on.
He has swimming on a wed/thurs i dry his kit on the radiator and put it back in his bag on the thurs.
He does know the odd swear word, but its not often i hear it usually when he thinks hes alone!
Im sure theres plenty more, but hes a happy kid and so what, Im sure most people are the same!0 -

Hehehehe, I told my DD that the tooth fairy got caught up in the bad weather, and that it was too windy for her to land!!:rotfl:0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: My Mum done this to my elder brother, she was totally panicking when she realised but she said he was just sitting there totally oblivious-he must have watched her walk past!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
