Dictatorship was a little strong but it did make me uncomfortable and even not posting very often i still felt overwelmed just reading. Bit like this thread really a little rant about cst turned into an all out argument over bf v ff:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Now I feel all sad because you lovely mummies are nervous of the parenting thread
I'm not a dictator and like it when nice people talk about their children together. And if I get annoyed or hurt I can just close the lid of my laptop and lock you all in till I feel better.
i think for me it all just moved wayyyy to fast not only that but because i hadnt posted on there before it felt like everyone already knew all about each other and i felt like a bit of an outsider0 -
Mrs Tine, on reading through my last post I felt I may have come across a little 'offensive ' to you, that was not my intention and if so I apologise.I just don 't think people have to justify themselves in how they bring up their children. That is as long as they are not neglected or abused. I didn't mean to attack you in any way.
Don't worryI probably took it a bit harder because I was on a roll
Absolutely no offence taken!
Friends? I'll even let you have a piece of home made cake if you don't grass me up to the bad mummies - they might not let me stay if they find out that I bake my own cakes... FROM SCRATCH! :eek:DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

It does move fast, and it does seem cliquey at first, but i'm in there a lot now and just dive in with my own selfish rants/questions, i don't feel the need to post *hugs* to everyone and remember everyone's daily business (i've got a rubbish memory) so i can ask them how x or y went, and i don't think they notice or care.
For me it's a good outlet for moaning, but most of all it's helpful to get a range of opinions on anything and everything.0 -
I've been waiting for you to come to the thread though

I think you're still missing my point...
Yes they are free to judge me... same as I am them. I just DON'T criticise them to them with the intent of making them feel less able at being mums than I am. Why can they not do the same?
Ok, maybe I am missing your point. I thought you referred to some women who went clubbing as a "few bad apples" and insinuated that their reason for giving up BFing was poor at best, in which case I would take that as a criticism of them. My point was that if your reason is valid then so is anyone else's, and they should be free to make their own choices. And this includes women who don't want to BF at all - I am sure you said something about this being different to chosing to give up with good reason. Just because you aren't talking to one individual doesn't mean that you aren't offending people out there who are reading but haven't posted. So in my opinion, you are criticising people and suggesting that they are less of a caring mum that you think you are.
I am not trying to start an argument with you by the way. As I said, I agree with some of the things you have posted, but this is how the comments you made come across to me. But maybe I have read it wrong.0 -
Well maybe I was the one who worded my arguments badly
You wanna piece of cake too?

I notice
I agree - at first I felt a lot like a little kid moving to big school, IYSWIM? But I just got on with posting and decided not to pay any attention to being a little bit embarrassed and feeling like an outsider because the valuable information and stuff I got was worth it, and now I don't feel like an outsider.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
