Hi
I received a letter the other day from Northern Rock saying that they agree that I was mis sold PPI insurance. I have signed the form confirming that I agree and now I`m waiting for payment. Does anyone know how long it will now take for me to receive my money?0 -
Hello
My first time here! I'm owed £4500 from First Direct, gone down all avenues with template letters, court forms etc then the Court's ruling seemed to knock the wind out of my sails as it took a long time. Decided to write to F.O. but after 4 return letters and my next reply due I don't seem to be making any headway. Gone down the hardship route but all I get back is: "Sympathetic to your situation and understand the point you make, however ....... not obliged (First Direct) to refund any charges.
Any ideas please? Don't want to give up (struggled too much).0 -
There are so many companies sharing data with "third parties" that it is likely they have gotten your number from somewhere where you forgot to tick a box saying "no third party" rubbish when you have filled out your form. However they should have the conversation at least logged on their system. Luckily you have closed the account down, so I would think that if any theives/scammers were going to take the effort to phone you they would atleast check to see what the finanical status of your account is.
Just my opinion though. Hopefully you have been put at ease with the situation by now.
I also requested my charges from halifax mid-november and have recently sent of a request to the FOS as halifax refused. fingers crossed. (funnily enough, I also closed my account in dec 2010).
My Apologies I have been a severe noob, I am replying to MTK1983 on 13-11-20110 -
Hi all, I am hoping to claim back charges from Lloyds TSB (fingers crossed!) Do I send the letter to the branch I am registered with or the head office? And what number do you telephone if you wish to speak to someone in Lloyds regarding the claim? Thankyou in advance!0

Its 6 years, or however long you have been with your bank if that is less.
Anyone know what Nationwide are like on refunding now the courts ruled in their favour? I got £900 back form hsbc 2 years ago with 1 phonecall (before ruling) but am now hoping to claim back at least some of the £267 charged with nationwide in the past 6 months. I sent the template letter off last week and seeing as we were so skint today thought id try my luck with a phone call.
The man i spoke to said there is no chance of getting any charges refunded but they are sympatheitc etc etc.
I guess ill wait for a letter of reply and go from there but was just curious if they are likely to out of "goodwill" as they call it.0
