Can I move emails from Microsoft Office to Outlook Express on a new laptop?

Am trying to do this again from the pendrive - I opened up TB and put in the F:\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile\Mail\Local Folders (using the browse button) now it says its indexing messages in inbox and the pen drive is flashing

Ok that seems to be done, mind you there's nothing in 'inbox' however, there's a folder 'outlook mail' and folders within it and 'inbox' there with the old emails from the other pc - now I'm thinking if I disconnect the pen drive will the emails disappear? Because when i go into the 'outlook mail' folder, then 'inbox' the pen drive flashes?

create a hotmail or google mail account on new pc and send the emails you want to keep from your old pc

The 02 mail account isn't here now - the old messages are under 'outlook mail' folders in 'personal folder's

When I click tools/account settings it shows 02 mail under local folders

OK right click on the O2 folder in Local Folders and select properties it should have a location in it , tell me what that this is.
Also Copy one mail from the Outlook Folder (right click and copy to) it should allow you to select the O2 account folder

02 isn't under local folders in tb - only where i see it is in account settings

right click properties for outlook folder and post the location here
also do the same for local folders
