debitcardmayhem wrote: »Ok well you could copy them from the pen drive to your Lappy and use them like that but I would imagine you would want to merge them into the account you created on the lappy ? Or is the one you created yesterday on the lappy redundant, if so you could import the account you used on the old box and make that your new default profile0

Thats what I assumed, ok when you clicked on the files on the pendrive TB opened up did it have your new(laptop) account in it as well the ones from outlook ? Or just the account from the Old pc? Let me explain how we can tell
1) Open TB on the Lappy normally select Account Settings at the right window it will have an account Name eg Sunni Mail change that to say ZZZZZ and select OK (we will rename back later it's only the name you want to remember it by)
2) exit TB
3) Open the files on pendrive and see if ZZZZZ is there as well
post back thanks4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -

Ok when you are on pendrive bit they all show in Local Folders, are there sub folders within that with Inbox / Sent / othernamed folders . If so thats good it means that you have them sub divided if not we can cross that bridge later.
Now right click on the local folders / select properties and paste the location here4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -

Brilliant ok
Open TB as normal on New Lappy
Right Click On Local Folders/New Folder Call it say Pendrive
Now open its properties and change location to F:\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile\Mail\Local Folders
Now create another folder in Local Folders and call it OldMail
then you can copy the folders in Pendrive to OldMail and they will be stored on the lappy.
Then Delete the Pendrive Folder (remove the Pendrive first just in case)4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -

mmm ok then lets try File/New/Folder call it MyOld and the location within your mail inbox
Now right click local folders select settings, the on the server line you will have a Local Directory paste the location into Notepad and save it
then put in the F:\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile\Mail\Local Folders (use the Browse Button)
Close TB and restart
this will give us the local folders on the pen drive
Copy this lot within the MyOld folder above
The return the Local Directory setting from the notpad ones above (use The Browse Button)
Close and restart TB4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0
