Hi Jules, sorry for your loss. Can't imagine how it must feel to go through this at such a late stage. I think I bled for a week after the first mc, about 10 days with the 2nd.
Shelley, hope yesterday was OK for you. Onwards & upwards xx
Elaina, hope you don't mind me asking, did you have any tests?
Thanks for all your kind words xxxx0 -
Hi, can anyone tell me on average how long you bleed for after a miscarriage, I had my beautiful boy last fri at 18 weeks. The hospital said about a week but I remember after my last miscarriage it was months!! But did have a D& C rather than this time when I went through a labour.
God bless you, honey. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hi been lurking for a while. I had a mc at beginning of sept at 5+2. It was a rollercoaster of a few days feeling sick, found out pg, started to feel better and panicking something was wrong and then starting bleeding and finding out it was a mc.
Portsmouthali - just wanted to say it may be worth going to epu and asking for blood tests, thats what I had and it confirmed was definitely mc early which was good in a way as I knew what was going on. My epu said they will see you if you have pain. If you're more than 6 they may also scan you. hope everything is OK though - they did also say before the blood tests that bleeding was common and didn't always mean mc (but not for me unfortunately)0 -

I have now found out that I have autoimmune disease which is more than likely the cause of at lease the last 4 miscarriages. They were what I call spontanious miscarriages.
I have 3 children but with my 3rd child (which was my 9th and last pregnancy) I also developed preeclampsia. This puzzled the doctors and this may be linked to it as well.I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

Thanks Bugsaboo, sorry for your loss xx Our EPU won't scan before 7 weeks. I'm 6 weeks today so another week to wait for that. Thanks for the heads up on the blood tests though, not been offered that before.0 -
Portsmouth can you get in for a private scan? (pricey, I know). Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Portsmouth, we only get offered tests after 3 mc's, as 2 are very common, 3 apparently are rare. I had the blood tests for auto-immune issues and genetic issues, and hubby had genetic tests done too. I thought that it was likely that I might have one of the auto-immune problems as I have another ai issue, but none of my tests showed anything. The good news is, if it is an AI, then it is easily treated and most go on to have normal pregnancies.0

hey everyone dont think i posted on this thread before forgive me if i have, my dh and i have been ttc for nearly 4 years now. we got preg last sept but sadly lost the baby.
we got the bfp as 6 weeks from last period from home preg test. we went to doc following week to tell them the good news but doc was like wait and we will then test you again in 2 weeks. found that awfully strange. anyways the following weeks bang on 8 weeks i lost the baby. i had quite severe bleeding for several days and then was left to deal with the pain and upset.
found the next few months quite tough but we never told anyone just kept the news to ourselves.
only this year have we told friends who wish we had told them at tome who could of supported us. well founf this year quite tough at points like when due date was going to be and then in sept when it was a year from happening.
still ttc at moment but my wee bubba is always constantly on my mind and i miss him/her desperately
i dont know if anyone has any ideas on how to help deal with pain and loss:A VK :A0 -
first of all hugs to you
