Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else was really tired after having a miscarriage? I've had plenty of rest and have hardly been doing anything but even this morning when I've had a good night's sleep I still feel exhausted.
Yes. It is exhausting both physically and emotionally. Your body has been through some really major changes both getting pregnant & then the m/c so it's going to take time to get back to 'normal', more time than you'd expect. Also don't under estimate just how exhausting it is emotionally so you are being hit from every angle. It does get better but you need to give yourself as much time as it takes & the answer to that question is a bit like how long is a piece of string... xx0 -

Exhausted, and grumpy as all get-out. Went back to work after two days and probably shouldn't have.
Big rest needed. Hugs. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I'm 5 weeks pregnant today & was really excited that for the first time I'd had no spotting from the start. I've just started bleeding, not spotting full on bleeding, bright red blood. I know I'm headed for yet another miscarriage, devastated doesn't come close. I was so excited but just 3.5 months after my last miscarriage here we go again0

Go and get a blood test, you're likely to be anemic as well as lost and upset.
Anemia needs to be dealt with or you'll end up having a blood transfusion. I can tell you that's no fun.
you can buy spatone which is liquid and much better than tablets from the docs (no side effects!) and it's been on 3 for 2 in boots if that helps.
Sorry for all your losses, I hope you all feel better soon.
Fingers crossed for a good outcome for you bbm.
If you don't get one this time, don't be afraid to ask for tests.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Hi SusanC sorry to hear about your sad loss. I had a blighted ovum at 14 weeks back in April and I was constantly feeling shattered after. I went back to the Dr's and found I was anaemic which explained a lot of it. I was given iron and it did make a difference.
I think I have coped quite well recently and we have decided we are not going to try for another however my due date will be Oct 12th and not sure how I will cope on that dayLittle Miss Chatterbox

I'm so sorry Shelley, my due date is coming up too(it's the same date as my mum's birthday too :-( ) and my husband has suggested we go away that weekend. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
I've arranged to go for some councelling as I am totally not coping after the ectopic which was over 6 months ago now. Everyone around me is pregnant and I just can't find it in myself to feel happy for them because that would be like accepting what happened to me was ok. I hate feeling like this. I'm also losing my best friend because I just can't face seeing her. She didn't tell me until 13 weeks which really hurt, now I just feel like her pregnancy will be the only thing on my mind if I see her, and I know she doesn't understand how I feel. The last thing I need is to be made to feel bad for my feelings when I already feel awful about them. We're ttc again now and AF has just got me, I was so positive this would be our month but obviously not.
BBM I really hope you aren't having another mc, will be thinking of you.0
