No I would not think you ever get over it.

We lost our little one in December and still feel completley devasted.

I can be doing something, like the other night we were looking to book a holiday in the Maldives happy and relaxed and I burst into tears !! Its so very very hard...

We cant go through this again, the pain and emotions are just to much.

    Hugs to everyone

Amara, take care hun. It is hard but the feelings ease, you never ever forget though.

I had two MC last year and am now pg 10w 2d. Filled with fear but had a scan at 8 and a half weeks and all was well. Just trying to get to the 12wk scan stage and although it's wonderful to be pg I still remember what it's like through ttc, MC and the highs and lows. That's why I never moan when my trousers are tight and don't fit, or I get a sicky feeling or my boobs hurt etc. because I know how lucky I am. I hope that's given some hope to you all.

Penny have you stopped ttc? If you booked it, I hope you have a wonderful holiday in the Maldives, something to look forward to.

Hugs all round to those who wish to partake.

    Katy congratulations :)

Yes we have stopped TTC we cant go through it again. It affected me in a way I would not think possible. Changed me as a person...I could not cope if it were to happen again :( So we now have a lovely fully equipped nursery that will never have a baby. But I cant bear to pack it all away.

I dont think you ever get over it either. My mum MC twins and I know she has never fully gotten over it. You do have to move on but I still count the time of my first MC, I'll still think at christmas this year if I'd had that first one it'd be 2 this year. My first MC took the longest to get over and yes it changes you as a person, whilst subsequent MC were still upsetting they were not so shocking iykwim.

The thing is if we didnt carry on trying we wouldnt get our baby and I just couldn't cope with that thought. Fingers crossed this is the one 9wk4 now.

Penny, I don't know what to say other than it's your decision and I'm so sorry that you feel different as a person - I know what you mean and it's something no one understands that hasn't been there. For all my mum tried to be comforting during my second MC she said one of the worst things ever to me (like to think of it as a heavy period) when I'd spent the previous 6 weeks thinking about that little person inside me. I realise she didn't say it to upset me and that people don't know the right things to say but like I said, no one understands how hard it is other than those who have been there too.

Maybe you will change your mind(s) in the future but you have to do whatever is best for keeping well mentally... having another baby doesn't replace the one(s) you lost.

Take care and remember it may have changed you as a person but you are still "you" and you owe it to yourself to look after yourself and be happy.
