Morning Grateful
I had my mc at the end of January, my AF re-appeared mid Feb, and I got my first neg test mid March after starting ttc again in early March.
So a month and a half I reckon.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Morning all
GFH, it took much longer than I thought it would to get a neg test, I would say 5-6 weeks all told.
Hope everyone is having a good day, got my parents coming down later to babysit as me & OH are off to see Frankie Boyle tonight0 -
GFH- I think it can vary how soon you get a negative test. Last time the epu told me to a test in 7-10days and i did then got a negative. I think the other times i didnt have to do a test, everything had finished. HTH.

Just wondering if any of you fine people can tell me how long it took to get a negative test after the event?
Does it have to go back to negative to get back to ttc?0 -
GFH, I had no medical intervention with mine, and bled, sometimes very heavy sometimes very light, for about 5 weeks. I got my first negative test about 8 weeks after mc started !! Was a horrible long time.
Try not to test too often, I found it destroying each time I tested and it still showed positive.

I think your body is still confused if you're getting positive tests, so logically it only makes sense to start TTC when the tests turn negative.
On the other hand, you might want to step away from the tests altogether and just see what happens over the next few weeks.
That was what I did and it made me feel better altogether.

thanks, guys, and hugs for your difficult and sad experiences.
I can't see why your body would ovulate if you still have the preg hormone, which except in very rare cases prevents ovulation?
I will step away from the tests, I think, except EPU will want me to do one. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
GFH if your unsure contact your epu and ask them when they would like you to take a test again, so it will stop you from testing when you dont need too0

I got a negative test about two weeks after my erpc and about three weeks after I'd had the erpc I had stupid amounts of EWCM. We decided to wait till I'd had my first AF till we started trying again, that arrived 31 days after my erpc.
I think it sometimes depends on how far along you were when the mc occured and what your hcg levels were during your pregnancy (which most of us probably don't know) I was only 6+3 when they think our little one stopped developing, even though it wasn't discovered until our scan at 13w. I had my booking in appointment with the midwife at 11weeks and am certain that when they'd had my blood tests back they would've been able to tell because I doubt my HCG levels were anything like they should've been.
I don't think you necessarily have to wait till you get a negative test to start ttc again but it makes sense to do that as otherwise it could make it difficult to date a new pregnancy. That was the reason we waited till I'd had my first AFOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170
