Oh Manc - sorry to hear the ordeal still isn't over for you. I've only had one natural and 3 ERPC's so I can't say how it will go for you tomorrow but I'm sure one of the other lovely ladies on here will be able to help.

Will be thinking of you - stay strong

Manc.. expect pain and heavy loss.. it will ease once everything is gone but it is a bit shocking at the time. They usually do a tablet one day, you go back 2 days later and have another and away it all comes.. it can occur before then though so be prepared.

Just a heads up because I think it is a disgusting practice.. at our hospital they do MM/ERPC at the same times as terminations.. so it can be pretty traumatic.

I don't think you ever get over a miscarriage. I had one 20 yrs ago after having fertility problems. I had fertility treatment for my eldest son now 23. I eventually conceived naturally 3 yrs after the mc and was paranoid for the whole 9 months. I had placenta praevia so that made things scarier. A year after my second son was born I conceived naturally again and was again scared for the whole time. My triple test came back raised for Downs but we were determined to have the baby and we had another healthy boy despite what they said. I knew after that I could not mentally go through another pregnancy. I remember these hard times even now and can empathise with you all. You will get there in the end and it is worth all the heartache xx

Well its been 2 weeks and no change - I even stopped bleeding from Xmas Eve. Went back this morning and the sac was still there, still perfect, just empty. Heartbreaking.

I am being admitted for medical management tomorrow morning and then having the rest of the week off
work. Hoping then that the nightmare is almost over.

Love and hugs to anyone who has been through or is going through this xxx

Sorry to hear you have gone through this. Hope it went OK today.

If it is any consolation, I had a MMC last September (no heartbeat at 12 week scan), then again at Easter (both needed a D&C).

I then found out I was pregnant again in May, and the 12 week scan showed it was twins! They are now 3 weeks old and currently awaiting a nappy change. Again. My girl can poop for England!

    Don't give up hope...

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

So I am still in the hospital. 24 hours of hell and 5 rounds of misoprostol later and am bleeding but still haven't passed the sac, if nothing by late afternoon they will book me in for a d&c tomorrow.

I was in agony last night and had to have morphine in the end, I didn't sleep a wink. This is an actual living nightmare, I wish I had just booked the d&c in the first place.

I didn't think my heart could break any more than it has but I was wrong X

Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry to hear this.

Can I suggest you push for the ERPC sooner rather later. Having had 3, I truly think it's got to be better than the pain you are going through right now.

If you want to know anything at all about the ERPC, I will be more than happy to share with you on here or via private message.

    Lots of love

I've tried to push for today but there isn't anyone doing gyny surgery here today apparently... I'm not even sure they will be able to get me on the list for tomorrow. I've already taken 3 days off work this week! At my wits end now.

Still waiting for someone to come and see us to assess where we are up to, haven't sent anyone for 2 hours now thankfully husband is here Xx

    Firstly - big hugs.:grouphug:

Secondly, do not stress about work! It can always wait.

It might be worth making yourself a bit more vocal and known in the hospital. I've found in the past that being a wall flower doesn't always pay off and you sometimes need to make sure people understand how you feel, to get something done.

Not very MSE I know but if your hospital is struggling to fit you in, have you got private health insurance?

To be honest though, if the hospital has started you off on the misoprostol and it's not doing the job, they can get you on the emergency list (I was for my first ERPC) and it was done within a few hours (at midnight). Both the others were planned and next day surgery.

    Still thinking of you
