Betty I'm pleased it went as well as it could have done & you have a plan in place for next time if you choose to try again.

I'm assuming also if you got oregnsnt again chances are it would be a single baby so your chances of anything bad happening would be lower anyway.

I wish things could have been different. Yes I really wish they had different blocks for discussing things like this.

I had my Erpc in the same building as the maternity block x

Betty it must have been really difficult going back. But I am glad to hear the appointment was helpful and that the Doctor had some answers and suggestions for you. (((((HUGS)))))

I had my last appointment yesterday as the natural mc has completed. I still feel so sad, but it was good to get that closure. I feel a bit more 'me' again.

Claire the emergency gynae ward is on the way to maternity and ante natal in my local hospital too. Terrible to follow big red signs for the delivery suite. But the care I received was very good and very sensitive, so I feel lucky about that. The Dr has written to my GP to see me for early scans next time for reassurance (really, really hoping that there is a next time sometime in the near future).

  • Betty, I'm so sorry to hear about your little boys.

My friend lost a baby at 20 weeks, the doctors told her it was just bad luck and it happens. She then got to 20 weeks on a second pregnancy, had a scan which showed baby was healthy, but 2 days later she lost that. She almost immediately got pregnant again but this time with twins. The docs agreed it was likely that she had a weak cervix so have sewn it up this time. I don't know how realistic this is for you. Maybe this doesn't help at all, but then I'd hate to have omitted it if it turned out that it did. x

    Hello...... (reluctantant wave)

Just come back from my 12 week scan which didn't go to plan. My baby had died at 9w 3d sadly and I have to go back Thursday for an operation.

Still got all the symptoms so feels like a kick in the face.

Don't really know what else to say apart from I am devestated.

I am so, so sorry. It's such a horrible thing to happen, I really feel for you.

    Sending you a big hug.

Lara - really pleased you have that closure, it's definitely another step towards feeling "normal" (whatever normal is) again.

In terms of the meeting being in antenatal, they were very good and apologised for this. The bereavement midwife collected us from the entrance so we didn't have to ask where to go and took us the quietest route to the room.

Thanks :) The doctor mentioned a stitch and has promised me one if the scan show my cervix shortening (or even if I request one) because of recent events. I'd like to have one done now, but they rarely do them before you're pregnant :o

Samtoby, I know :( I've just been counting, I had 9 scans. All were fine until the last one. I'm so sorry.

sam I'm really sorry to read your news.

It's utterly devastating and totally rubbish.

Oh no Sam. I didn't realise you'd had some scans already.

    It's all so cruel x
