I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, I'm not really thinking too straight at the moment.
Hi Air Cooled,
I saw your other thread and am relieved you've found your way here - it's a therapeutic place and hopefully you will find it helpful. I'm so so sorry to hear about the loss of your son, please accept my condolences and best wishes. You must be in a massive state of shock, both physically and emotionally.
Post away as much as you like, you are not alone.
love from MsB x0 -
Thanks MsB, unfortunately I'm at work but at least it should stop me from moping around. I want to mark the day some how, as I don't want it to be just another normal day, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
I'm really sorry, I didn't see this at the time. Hope you got through it ok but I know that some people plant a tree, light a candle, or just raise a glass alone or with someone else to the memory of their baby. Do whatever works for you.0 -
air cooled, so sorry to hear of your loss xxxx0

Thanks everyone, in a tailspin what with the registering today and then also it being a week ago...
I'm not sleeping at all despite being exhausted, I probably average about 4 hours. I'm wondering if I can ask the Dr for something just to get me through until the funeral next week.
Thank you all xx0 -
i would see the doctor hun lack of sleep wont be helping matters xxJust take each day as it comes.
Bump due 18th January :j0 -
Air Cooled, my heart goes out to you - what a week for your family. I don't know what to suggest apart from talking to your GP; also does your hospital have a bereavement midwife? I've heard they are fantastic in looking after and supporting parents who have lost their babies.
Best wishes and please be good to yourself as much as you can xx0 -
Msb, yes, I've got the bereavement midwives numbers and I'm also still under the care of my community midwife (who is fantastic) she is coming tomorrow and said when she came out on Saturday that she will ring the Dr for me tomorrow if I needed her to.
I said to hubby earlier that (although I thought it sounded lame) I felt a bit 'traumatised' by the birth and he suggested the bereavement midwife. We had a long chat today. DH isn't a man of massive emotion but he's displayed more in the past couple of weeks that I've ever seen. We are supporting each other and I do think this will make us stronger.0 -
Air cooled - you have every right to feel traumatised. As I said on your other thread, I've just been through similar this last week and I certainly feel traumatised by the entire thing.
I'm not sure I have much advice as I'm probably at a similar place to you, but I'm trying to take one day at a time and regularly cry (no matter who is there!) to try to grieve properly.
Sending you a big hug.0
