I found out on a Monday and had the op on a Friday. Although the waiting was bad, at the same time it gave me time to 'say goodbye.' And spend 4 days crying Also I wasn't sure at the time if I wanted to do it or not so I spent most of the time on here or talking to my friends and DH deliberating if to do it or not.

So I can see once you've made the decision, waiting would be awful because you just want it over with.

It might not be possible but I know at my hospital people did make cancellations because they changed their mind about whether to do it or not, and maybe they could put you on some kind of waiting list for tomorrow just incase? Although I guess because of the fasting that might not be possible. Damn bank holiday x
