Hi fraz. It always seems weird to welcome people to this thread but you know what I mean.

I'm sorry to hear about your losses. It is so hard when you want another baby. How are you feeling?

  • Hi ladies, I'm feeling a bit rubbish today. The episode called me with the lab results from the erpc (as it was magic miscarriage number 3 and they were actually interested) but it showed a partial molar pregnancy. I'm a bit upset, they've referred me to a specialist unit at another hospital so I don't really know what happens now.

Welcome Fraz, I'm so sorry for your losses :-(
  • Hi, hope you don't mind me gate crashing the thread. I've only read the last few pages but everyone seems so supportive.

Emylou I'm so sorry that you should be at your due date. Mine wouldn't have been until may next year but I imagine it will be very hard. Xx

Lemonmelon I'm sorry to read what you are going through also Xx

I had a mc 8 weeks ago at 10 weeks pregnant. The baby had stopped growing at about 7 weeks. At first I opted for a natural mc but 5 weeks later there was still tissue in my womb so I chose the tablet form of medical management. I lost lots of clots but not the tissue so I went for the evacuation procedure under general anaesthetic 2 days ago.

I'm in extreme pain. It hurts to stand up/sit down /cough /sneeze/ laugh and oh my gosh I can't even begin to describe going over speed bumps in the car! I called the hospital this morning and they advised me to go to GP. He's given me 2 lots of antibiotics incase of infection and I'm to go back tomorrow if it's no better. They will then probably do an ultrasound incase my womb has been perforated.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It's the first time I've had an ERPC so I don't know what's 'normal'. I have 2 children and have had one previous mc but that was different as I'd fallen pregnant on the coil and hadn't realised I was pregnant. The coil caused a complete mc.

Thanks for reading and hugs to those that need them Xx

Really sorry to hear what you've been through please-let-me-be-lucky, hugs to you too.

Can I ask how you know about the tissue in the womb? I feel like I didn't get enough medical support during and after my mc.

I was in agony a month later and the doc gave me antibiotics, I think I had an infection.

The following month I had a period and oh the clots I lost were ridiculous, never seen anything like that before!

I have no idea if there's any tissue left inside me, should I go A&E or doc? I find it hard to take time off work and haven't told anyone at work what happened.

Sorry to hijack your questions with questions of my own.

I hope the pain subsides soon for you and your womb hasn't been perforated.
  • Hi Jox, it's no problem. Sorry you have been through the same.

At 10 weeks preg (or so I thought) I had bad shoulder tip pain so I was sent for a scan incase of ectopic pregnancy. That's when I was told baby looked more like 7 weeks and they thought I was starting to miscarry as I bled during the internal scan. However, they asked me to go back in a weeks time for another scan to see what was going on. I miscarried the next day.

I rang the EPAC and said I'd miscarried but they said still come for the scan to make sure all clear. I was sure it was as I felt I'd lost loads of 'stuff'. It wasn't (though the baby had gone), I still had tissue etc left and I went back every 10 days for the next few weeks for more scans. In between times I had mad gushes of big thick clots and each time I thought 'surely that's it' but it never was. It's amazing how much stuff can be in there! I was told that the risk of infection increases after 10 weeks so I gave myself an 8 week deadline.

Don't know if that helps you or not?? Xx

What an ordeal, you must've been going through hell!

I went to A&E twice and had one internal exam before the miscarriage so don't know if there was / is any tissue left.

There's the physical and emotional trauma for us all to deal with, I'm trying to be positive but do feel overwhelmed sometimes and would probably just stay in bed if it wasn't for work!

Look after yourself and get better xx
  • Just for info for anyone reading this thread in the future & experiencing the same thing, I'm feeling much better after 24 hours on antibiotics. It's obvious I've got an infection. I don't feel 100% but yesterday I felt 0%, so today I feel maybe 60%. I can walk without crying in pain!

Thanks for your support yesterday Jox. Hugs Xx

Glad you're feeling a bit better after 24 hours, take it easy for a couple of days if you can, but I guess with 2 children that may be easier said than done!
