Sorry to hear your news too shelley x
November has been a really crappy month I think. Hoping December and 2013 brings a bit more happiness and less loss all round xMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Sorry to hear your news Shelley.
I'm shattered, OH is away with work, and I'm feeling quite low and honestly quite depressed. Mind you, I've had a busy week at work and have had a couple of stressful days. Because of my role, I am expected to be on the ball, cheerful and motivated all the time, and I'm really not feeling it this week.
And I turn 30 tomorrow which feels like quite a depressing milestone, I really wanted to have a baby, or at least be well on the way by now.
Sorry, that's turned into a bit of an outpouring!
Hope everyone else is doing ok x0 -
Hello all
I just had to share something as I'm a bit upset about this ... I had a miscarriage a few weeks ago, a couple of days before I was due to go for my booking in appointment at the hospital. I 'phoned up to cancel my appointment when I had confirmation that the miscarriage was definite and explained why.
I've now received a letter from the appointments service asking me to 'phone and arrange a new appointment following me cancelling my last one!
I 'phoned up the appointment line and explained the situation, and told them I thought it was very insensitive of them to send such a letter under the circumstances. They told me that it was out of their control as the person I spoke to at the hospital had cancelled the appointment rather than the entire referral and unless I contacted the hospital directly, I'd be getting another letter in the next week to remind me to rebook my appointment...
Finally I rang the hospital and, to be fair, they were very apologetic and said they'd deal with it straight away.
What a situation! I'm just hoping that they manage to cancel the referral before the next letter is sent out... I certainly hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.0 -
Oh sweaty betty, how insensitive of the hospital. I think sometimes it's all a bit disjointed in the health service and communication isn't great. I know while I was waiting for my surgery I received a text message and letter from my gp surgery reminding me to book an appointment for a flu jab due to my pregnancy. Not what i needed to see!
I had problems with a cervical smear a few years ago ( and surgery for severe cell abnormalities), and despite being told by the head nurse of the gynae cancer dept i needed annual smears, and my gp practice offering them every year, every year i get a snotty letter from the central testing department telling me they won't give me further smears on NHS and i need to stop attending for them. It's not that I'm not assessed as needing them, but my details are incorrect on their data base and they can't for some reason update them!0 -
Shelley and Sweaty Betty, have some big hugs from me. (((())))

Hi Any Name - happy birthday and I hope you are able to escape the blues today. xx
Hugs to you allfran-o0 -
Thanks fran-o, sorry for the miserable post last night, I'm feeling much better today.
I have booked some time off next week, because I feel like I've really overdone things (which probably explains why I felt so rotten yesterday!!)
Hope everyone has a good weekend x0 -
Just wanting to send a big hug to everyone....
You all seem to be coping so well, I have found it so hard it takes all of my energy to get up and get my boys to school in the morning. Im so tired and burst into tears at the slightest thing. I had a massive cry in town yesterday and a cry at the school gates today.
I can't even begin to think about returning to work, my boss came to see me today and pick up my sick notes (Im lucky as she is very nice and supportive) it was nice to see her, although she has said that one of the other girls in the office is pregnant and is due a few weeks after I would have been. So now I have my sister at home due 5 days before mine would have been and a girl at work just after.
I am so angry. I wish I could stop crying.
Sorry for the very self indulgent post0 -
Happy Birthday Any name x
