:grouphug: tinkwings, that sounds rather traumatic and upsetting. I hope now that that physical part is over it will help a little with the emotional side.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

WHERE do u get baby asprin from ???? is that what it is called?
No. It's just called aspirin. It's the 75mg dose. You can get it from any chemist or supermarket. It's more expensive than normal dose aspirin though.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Hugs for Tinkwings and Lemonmelon. Hope you are both resting up and doing as well as you can be.
MV, I know what you mean about peoples platitudes, but they are only trying to helpI would never have known what to say prior to my loss. I think people mean things in the best possible way - just that until you have experienced it for yourself you don't know what to say/do. And I would never wish for anyone else to know what I was/am feeling, so I try to take "well meaning advice" with a pinch of salt.

Morning ladies, Im sorry if Im asking this in the wrong area but does anyone know if the time I had to take off work for my miscarriage is classed as compassionate leave? I’ve just received my payslip and have had the 2 days I was off for deducted as its been marked as being off sick (bosses knew about why I was off)
I don’t really want to go and ask my boss about it as Im not a very confrontational person at the best of times, let alone 2 weeks after I lost my baby
big hugs to you all x0 -
tinkwings i hope you're resting up very well, get some new pyjamas! new pyjamas make me feel so comfy and relaxed
They definitely sell 75mg aspirin in morrison's in a yellow packet, it's also meant to reduce the risk of heart attacks if you need to ask where it is and feel embarassed
Skint i don't think you're being a misery, it's important in this crazy ttc world that people know the facts. it's like progesterone supplements- they don't actually work (according to the NICE guidelines, which are very helpful if you google them) but ladies scared of losing another pregnancy get told by other internet ladies that they got it off their doctor and their next pregnancy was fine (even thought it was statistically likely that their next pregnancy would be fine anyway) so cue a worried lady going to her doctor and being told no he won't give a perscription and getting more worried and scared and not able to trust her doctors opinion.
Course, nowadays you can buy it on the internet don'tchaknow, so people are self medicating powerful hormones on the sayso of of people with absolutely no medical training....
well that turned into a bit of a rant, sorry!
Newcook where i work the policy for miscarriage related leave is in the maternity policy and says a loss before 24 weeks will be considered as sick leave, so maybe that's where you need to check x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Morning all.
newcook - If I were you I'd go and have a quiet word with my boss and explain why you were off. When I had my first mc in 2010, my HR dept tried to dock me 3 days pay, but when my boss got involved I got that back and a grovelling apology. I don't honestly think a mc is anything like having a few days off for a cold. Good luck, I hope they do the right thing.
Tinks - how on earth did they not remove everything first time around? I am so sorry you had to go through it all twice. Hope that is the end of it now. Rest well x
abis - I know that people mean well. I think it's the (possibly imagined) underlying smugness I can detect in certain people who are having a nice easy pregnancy that gets me. It is quite possibly my negative frame of mind at the moment. I'm not feeling particularly rational or charitable.
skintchick - don't worry I am 100% expecting the aspirin to do absolutely nothing at all. I don't think I have sticky blood problems as my pregnancy with DS was just fine. I think it's more a 'placebo' effect of making me feel I am actually doing something IYSWIM. I just can't sit around and feel like I am having to leave everything to nature or fate.
Lemon - glad it is all over for you. Make sure you relax and rest lots over the weekend and let OH look after you x
Well we're off to my in-laws today as we are having DS christened tomorrow afternoon alongside his cousin. It should be a fun day, although right now I just feel like not speaking to anyone. I'm going to pull myself together though for DS's sake as it's his day.
Hope everyone else is as well as can be expected.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
..oh and on some positive-ish news (finally!). I appear to have stopped bleeding..hooray!
So that time the bleed was 6 days, only a day or so longer than a regular AF, so hoping I can just count CD1 as when the bleeding kicked in.
And off we go again....Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
New cook, sorry to hear that, it's a bit unsympathetic of your employer! I think it might depend on your employers policies for leave, so it might be worth having a read or speaking to your HR department.
I've been really lucky that my employer has been really good and given me discretionary sick pay.0
