  • Indeed, and keep remembering that out of all the misery last time came your beautiful DD2, she is an absolute angel and if you keep strong and keep going, you will get your next forever baby soon xx

  • Good luck anws. Hope you get something arranged nice and quickly so you too can move forward.

One of my (pregnant) friends just texted me to say how sorry she is. I know she means well, but actually it just set me off crying again as she is pretty much exactly as far along as I was.

I don't know about anyone else, but I find platitudes from people who have absolutely no idea what you are going through, and who's lives are going along just fine, more annoying than anything else.

I'm probably just being a cow, in fact I am...I just feel so low and futile and crappy at the moment and actually nothing anyone says or does, or things I do to try and cheer myself up are going to help.

    Blah.

Don't know if any of you ladies might find this interesting? It's about repeated miscarriages and Hughes syndrome.

    Thanks.

That's the other thing I might have in addition to FvL. It's also known as anti phospholipid syndrome or APS.

I don't understand why the article says people have mcs in the teens though as the NICE guidelines are that you can have tests after three in a row.

Personally I think they should do some of the easier tests, like for FVL and APS, after two mcs though. Would save a lot of babies' lives.

Not to dash anyone's hopes but I took baby aspirin during my last pregnancy. If you have a clotting disorder you actually need either low dose aspirin as well as another anticoagulant drug such as heparin, or you need a much higher dose of aspirin (treatment for APS is 150mg daily from 34 weeks). 75mg daily of aspirin hasn't been proven to have any effect on its own, but it won't do any harm according to doctors.

I don't want to stray into giving medical advice but I don't want you to think taking baby aspirin will make your next pregnancy be ok, either, cos sadly there's no evidence to say that it will.

Sorry to sound a misery but I think raising your hopes is worse. X x
