    morning all.

hiphouse i am so sorry. I finished my first AF 12 days ago and i know the feeling. it was heavier than usual and i found myself changing pads more often that i used to and the pain was different too. i had more pain and i just kept taking painkillers. my next one is due on the 24th so hoping it goes back to 'normal' or even better, i dont get one? haha thats wishful thinking! anyway hope everyone is feeling a bit better today. i went and joined the ttc thread but sometimes i cant go on it. will try harder though.

  • Thanks for the responses. I didn't do a pregnancy test because I'd rather pretend it was just a heavy period... and maybe it was.

It's over for now. Thank you to everyone for sharing their experiences, it really does help me.

i just wanted to give a update on going to the specialist incase anyone else was in my position. went last friday and she said that it could be my antibodies attacking the babies causing me to mc. cause apparently there are two types of hormones one that goes from the brain down to womb which with mc at 6weeks isnt that or could be hormones from ovaries to womb so basically they have done some blood tests to see if i have these antibodies and if I do they can give an injection when u find out to stop it or the other thing could be i could have polosistic ovaries.

If they don't find anything in the blood test then we have to have a blueprint test something to do with dna and if somethings missing but apparently its expensive to do and only 1% suffer from it so i now have to wait till june for the results of the blood tests so have to wait and see.

They did say that if I get pregnant in the meantime if i mc again i would have to take it in for testing so to be honest think i'm gonna wait till i get the results if any

    Hiya Rups

had the ultrasound test on friday so far found out that I have gallstones which they found out by accident which isn't related but thought i had as i wake up every so often in absolute pain curled up but didn't want to ask doctor as i know its normally in older people and people with fatty diets apparently but i dont think i do have a bad diet anyway ultrasound lady said im likely to have to have a op for that. Also as i was leaving she said oh did you know you have some cysts on your ovaries. like i should know  then said they may need me to go back in 6wks for another scan to check as they can clear up after a period but researching and from what consultant said she was looking for i think it maybe PCOS but have to see i'm no doctor but after looking on net yesterday and today i have the signs of.

ultrasound lady didn't look happy while doing the scan so i'm concerned she's seen more than is letting on but i have to ring back in a week and then i go back to see the consultant on 8th June

Its horrible when they do that  dont they teach them a poker face !

Ive been at the hospital this week for my current pregnancy and whilst we had the horrific wait in the waiting room for our scan my husband decided that was the best time to chirp up with
    "I hope everything is ok this time as you've been a p i s s y b i t c h the last few weeks" :eek::mad:

honestly makes you wonder what you have to go through to get some lee-way - our baby's due date is coming up next week, I've had the stress and worry of if this pregnancy is effected by a chromosome abnormality like our previous pregnancy (we arent clear yet) Im pretty much at breaking point :o and i know im being a cow bag some days but thought this was the "or worse" part of marriage we signed up for

    Rups,

i hope you get that letter written, and that it brings you the peace you need.

Hi all.. been a few days... this month have been trying to stay sane. I have out on weight and it is making me more miserable day by day!

cozza, i am sorry to hear about all that! how aweful for you! poor thing. Hugs. some people are so stupid, i mean how were you supposed to know about the cysts? i hate hospitals and staff at times. isnt 8th June too far though? grrr. good luck with the scans hon.

Mishka i hope all goes well on your side too. hugs. i know its a worry. I mean when we try again ( i hope we are now) i will still worry about what happend last time but what can we do? so easy for people to say to chill out! its not that easy. hubby seems to think that if a couple have no money or problems then they shouldnt have kids. dont know what planet he is on at times, as when kids are meant to come, they come. he has a good job now so dont know what he is worried about? men!!

Re - Ovarian cysts - they are very common - you always get on when your pregnant - it produces the hormones that keep the pregnancy going until the umbilical cord takes over - then then normally disappear - some don't. You can also be prone to them.

They normally only find ovarian cysts when theya re looking for something else. They will do a CR something blood test to check they are not cancerous BUT that is INCREDIBLY rare for ovarian cysts. They are then only a problem if the 'grow' when you are pregnant and get in the way of the baby or if they burst (which apparently in painful). Most can be removed through keyhole surgery with no problems.

............can you tell what they found when they scanned me when I was pregnant with my second son? yep I had a MASSSIVE ovarian cyst - it went from oneside to the other - and they got 1 1/2 liters of fluid out of it when they took it away, my consultant was astounded. I had the operation 6 months after we lost our son (which was NOTHING to do with the cyst but cause of PPROM) and as it was keyhole the recovery time was excellent.

I hope that helps. I am sorry for everyone's losses (mine was at 27 weeks - its my friend who has just had a miscarriage at 8 weeks) x

Another one with cysts here :o. When I was pg the first time one ruptured (OW!!!) and there was another at 6cm. The good news is that the 6cm one went on it's own after a few months and I ovulated regularly from the other ovary whilst it was there. Apparently nearly all women will have cysts at some point but will never know as they just come and go without any symptoms. Ovarian cysts are not nessecarily due to PCOS if that's what's worrying you. I believe PCO and PSOS are caused by hormone problems (don't know much about it tbh) but simple ovarian cysts just come and go with the normal menstural cycle.
