  • Sorry to hear your story Fairy. But this is the right place to be as we have all been through it and know how lonely and depressing a place it is to be.

Fingers crossed that you get your sticky bean very soon :) x

  • Hi Fairy :)

I feel the same about mc, I knew loads of people who'd had them, and thought "It can't be that bad if it's early days" . I never realised that it could cause such devastation until it happened to me, it's without doubt the worst thing I've ever been through.

    Good luck with ttc xxxx
  • You've reminded me! I need to get my train ticket for next week.

Going to sis-in-law's for brunch tomorrow, it's her birthday this weekend and it's become a bit of a tradition. I've baked some cupcakes as an alternative to a birthday cake - will post some pics later.

Other than that, just a quiet one really which suits me. New series of LOST tonight which I'm really looking forward to :)

I don't want to speak too soon, but I seem to have stopped bleeding. :j

    Hooray!!!!! :T
    Another step forward!!

I haven't bled at all for nearly a week now. Think the lead up to the actual MC when I was bleeding a lot all the time was the worst of it, then after the final bit came out it all seemed to stop.

    Onwards and upwards eh!

So I had my hair done today to help cheer me up have gone back to being a blonde!

Had to have blood tests done yesterday & they have made a right mess of my arm with a huge bruise & I can hardly bend it. I had a mini break down last night which is a start I am hoping that the anger is going and I can start to grieve. Have just got a white camilia to plant in memory of bean.

My daughter is off on scout camp this weekedn & DH is on call so my mum is coming to wallpaper DD room whilst she is away.

Fairy thank you for your story :A

It does seem the more people i speak to they all seem to have either had a MC or known someone that has. Even the nurse taking my blood said it had happened to her.

I just want to start again but also want things to be safe there seems to be so much conflict about when to start again........
If you can think it........it will happen

I have had no follwo up at all, so just hoping my body is able to sort itself out and i will have no issues. I had the ERPC and was sent on my way. I have had no appointments with my doc or the EPU, no further scans so i am just carrying on.

There is no need for a followup after ERPC.. it is only if you are letting nature take its course.. or not in my case, that you have need of a followup.

And for the record.. 3 weeks after mine stopped growing (stopped growing at 6 weeks, bleeding started at 8 weeks and had ERPC at what would have ben 19 weeks) I had a negative test at the 2nd EPU (9 weeks)appointment (I read it in my notes) yet it was still in situ 3 MONTHS later.. so a negative test result does not necessarily mean it has gone it just means there is little/no HCG being produced.

  • I haven't watched it (I saw the trailer and knew it would wind me up!!) but how must her other kids feel, especially the younger ones, knowing that they were such a disappointment to her?

Glad to hear you are feeling better in yourself Ali. Hubby and are are dtd for fun rather than bd atm and it is more enjoyable than knowing it is the day to do it on. Although we are still dtd every other day if anything happens so be it but we are not going out of our way to prevent it either.

I managed to talk to my SIL yest about the mc with out crying, but it felt like i was talking about someone else and not myself - perhaps this is my minds way of dealing with it?
