hello all. how are u all doing?

just rang the gp for my blood test results which i had gone and given last week and i was told something came back abnormal...now it is causing me worry and obv the receptionist couldnt say what it was. Have made an appointment to see the doc on tues so till then i will keep wondering. i did ask her to say what was written, and she mumbled lots of stuff and i heard clotting something something in there.... dont know what to think now...just feel tired all the time. and my legs are sore too like calf muscles soreness. bah..

Hey Rups,

Just remember if it was something really bad they would have called you in straight away. Relax if you can until next week. If it is really panicking you could you call and explain and hope for an early appointment tomorrow?

thats a bit poor of the doctors receptionist Rups, can you book a phone appt with a Dr ? Mine have them everyday so if you just need to talk to the Dr with out a physical examination you dont have the wait.

Hey ladies. Hope everyones as well as can be expected.

I'm just popping in for a bit of support. This week would have been my 20 wk scan and all the girls in my IVF cycle (all 5 of us were lucky enough to fall) are reporting back on their scans. I know I shouldn't go in there and look anymore but I can't help it.

To top it all off, I have a hen do in a couple of weeks that I really can't get out of as I'm bridesmaid, one of the girls whose going is due on the same date as I was It's going to be so hard, i'm really not sure how i'll get through it. It's a whole weekend too.

As for treatment - the NHS have shut the final door on us - they've done all they can so now all we can do is save for a self funded round of IVF. That'll take us about a year. Sadly, we don't have the odd £5k kicking around.

I'm very angry this week, at everything.

Oh SK I'm so sorry things are so tough for you

Do the other girls on the hen know what you have been through? If you really feel like you can't face it, then surely your friend would understand? You can still be her bridesmaid etc, but maybe just not go on the hen do?

I'm amazed that you only get 1 round of IVF on the NHS too. It seems to vary from region to region.

I really hope that you get the funds needed and all goes well next time.

oh sexki11en. i am so sorry for you. that is so sad.. Hugs...

maybe you can talk to your friend and explain to her its very very hard for you at the mo, so hopefully she will understand. Imean i would if one of my friends came and said that to me.

i am sorry to hear about your scan too. i really am. I weirdly missed out the date that was this week for my first scan, or what would have been.. i have been feeling sad for the past two days so in that sadness, it went out of my head. I hope you are ok hon, Try and be very strong, and keep thinking of the future and how you will hold your little one very soon. If you can, read this book called the secret. it is very very helpful. saying that, i should dig mine out as it helped me think differently and thats when i met hubby.

its sad about the NHS too. i think the stress of it all is getting to you both as well, so maybe you and hubby can start saving that and before you know it, you will have some. i wish i win the lottery, i would instantly give you some. *hugs*

Thanks for your advise girls. i will try and calm down as stressing wont help me either. i would have tried to call tomorrow but might as well wait till Tues when i have it. i do wonder what it is though? its weird that when i lived in another region, the doctors did call up and explain stuff but here its weird, where i speak to the receptionist who checks and says fine or not fine.. and then make an appointment. how weird. i wish whatever it is, it can be sorted as now i dont have that energy to deal with someone else that is chucked onto me. sigh. am feeling sorry for myself. :-(

Hi SK, I'm so sorry xx There are so many "milestones" in a pregnancy that bring it all back. My boyfriend doesn't understand - or rather, he does but he doesn't want to think about it When I was most recently pregnant there was a lady in my team who was due within a week of my due date. Although she's now on maternity leave, he sister works where I work and she told me the other day that they'd had a baby shower for her and that reminded me that she's due any day now - and therefore so should I be Also, all of her scans, her last day at work etc - it all was so painful.

As for your hen weekend, if you really can't get out of it I recommend a truckload of alcohol to get through it

It sucks about the NHS funding. I don't blame you for being angry, it's so unfair xxxx

Ohhh Ali i am so sorry to hear that. it does suck.. i am surrounded by preg women on my floor. heard yesterday that someone else was expecting and i thought great. then keep bumping into the woman who is expecting twins and just have to grin and bear it. i feel so sad...plus feel yuck and my calf muscles are still sore and i am fed up of being in pain.. so have to go to he GP to discuss my stupid blood test results. just dont need anything else now..:(

anyway ladies, sorry for moaning.. will speak to you soon and hope you all have a lovely weekend... well as good as it can get.xxx
