    Morning ladies :)

IIRC Rups your chances of having a successful pregnancy next time are pretty much the same as someone who has never had a miscarriage. The odds are very much in your favour that next time you get pregnant you'll have a lovely baby :)

    PS glad to hear is wasn't just my hubby being an a r s e (though sorry your OH's were a r s e s too :o)

oh can i ask a quick question please? Had anyone ever experienced a weird muscle pain on their bum cheek before? i had this weird pull type thing before the mc and when my body was still carrying on with preg symptoms, but i realize that i still have it a bit. it feels like a weird muscle pull?

colli thanks for that info. i def am looking forward to it but have to be ready too.

last night when hubby was trying to cheer me up and wanted to touch me, i couldnt let him :( i think i def need time. and it DEF is a man thing. its in their genes to be like that, so macho and forget about stuff and deal with it. thats my hubby's fav line. thankfully he hasnt yet used to on me otherwise he will get it from me. :)

Could it be sciatica ? Feels like a muscle has been tightened leading from your bum cheeks down, kind of pinching sensation to the top of the thigh.

If it is its quite common, think its a pressure on a nerve so should pass soon enough.

if its nothing like ive described then Ive no idea :rotfl:

Rups, miscarriages are supposed to be more common in first pregnancies and having had one mc makes a negligible difference to the odds of the next pregnancy being successful so this having happened doesn't mean you won't be a mum.

As far as going back to work is concerned, I would just take each day as it comes and see how you feel. Everyone copes in different ways - if going back to work will help then do, if not take as long as you need. My first miscarriage I felt fine emotionally but drained physically so as my work is just a small amount of s/e admin at home I just carried on as normal but with my last loss I had already been signed of work for most of the pregnancy and stayed signed off for six weeks (or eight if you count from diagnosis). Just do whatever feels right for you.

  • Hi Rups,

I've not posted on this thread, but watch, but I just wanted to say to you - take a little bit more time off work than you think you need.

My natural mc started on Sunday - I took the Monday off, then went in for three days (took evening meetings and everything!) because DH and I were going on holiday and I felt like I had to be in because I had things to do and because we were going on holiday I would get a break then.

Not only do I not remember much about the work that I did in those three days (and I was finding mistakes for months afterwards!), I also think it took me a lot longer to recover because I didn't take the time to just process what was happening. It's physically difficult but it's also mentally difficult, and that's what you have to deal with.

    I hope you're ok *hugs*

Thanks mishka and Susan. Very helpful indeed. yes that is the sort of pain i have and its not painful as such but i can feel it as i am in bed right now. I am being a lazy so and so and sat here with hubby's laptop and doing nothing! i hope it goes as it started when the preg symptoms were going on and now its still there. hope it goes soon. was getting paranoid. lol

thanks Susan. i think i might take 1 week and take it from there. i have a note so i am sure work will understand. am def much calmer now and chatting to you all has really helped. been on google looking at some grief articles. this one really made me feel sad for the woman:

thanks sarah. i agree with you because i will go and do that and not focus. i know i have loads to do but have just left it to the woman who was training me and am not even worrying about catching up from her. i think if i go i will be daydreaming or prob chatting to people to try and make myself not get upset, so i think its better i go back when my head is slightly cleared. thanks. xx
