Yes you could be. Have you been checking your HCG levels with HPTs and are they now negative? If you are still getting faint positives then you won't be ovulating but a lot of women seem to find they ovulate again about a week after the HCG leaves their system.

If in doubt do the deed is my motto. And I'd probably start OPKing from today too, if you use them, and see whether you get a positive on them between now and when AF would be due if you are right that you are ovulating again about now. Dont forget though that you can have ECWM for several days (up to 6 is normal) and that you tend to ovulate on the last day of EWCM, so it might still be a few days away.

From what I've read Skintchick you should ov about two weeks after your bleeding stops.

Hope you get discharged soon cullumpster

See, that's what I'm not sure about. I feel it was earlier than that when I conceived DD. But my MW did date the PG from the day the bleeding stopped, and that seemed to work.

I wish there was better information out there on this - it affects so many women it makes me cross it is so hard to find out definitive information.

I haven;t been checking. I went to the hospital on Tuesday and they said I was showing a very faint positive ona PG test which was what they'd expect. I've not done one since and she said if we were going to TTC immediately then not to bother.

I don;t have any OPKs as I've never used them but thanks for that info, I didn't know about the last day thing and that's very helpful (and explains something about a previous TTC month when we didn;t get PG). Last time I found SMEP great but obviously that depends on a normal cycle.

Maybe we need to just DTD regularly for a while. Might be nice to reconnect anyway. Just need DD to sleep! She's been so disturbed recently bless her.

That is how they date pg after mc. I think it's something to do with the minimum length of time your body takes to go through the cycle of hormones required for ov. That said you know your body better than anyone. Do you feel like you've ov'd or ov is imminent? As Nicki said I'd be DTD every other day and OPKs if you can.

:o I'm really horny! :o Which is usually a failsafe sign for me. I have gone from miserable and not interested to just being randy all day :rotfl: So when i saw the mucus I immediately thought OV rather than ooh weird CM.

that's what I read when I had my first mc but I ovulated about eight days after I stopped bleeding with my first mc which took me by surprise after what I'd read.

Skintchick, I OV'd 11 days ago which was 14 days after the first day of MC. 14 days is a bit long for me, I normally OV 10-12 days so I was hoping that what they say is true about being more fertile after MC.

Sadly it seems not as the PG test I did this morning has no second line. I think I dealt with the MC because of the hope that I had in being able to catch straight after. I'm dreading dealing with AF when she arrives as we'll be into 28 months and still never having managed a natural conception by ourselves and not being able to afford another IVF. I don't feel like this will ever happen for us.

11 dpo is still too early for a reliable result though sexki11en, particularly just after a miscarriage when your hormone levels are all over the shop. Have you been charting, or is it 11 days since a positive OPK, because if you are relying on an OPK you are conceivably only 9dpo, and even less likely to get a positive so early. From what I understand, you are likely to get a reliable result 14 days after confirmed ovulation or 15 days after a positive OPK, and if you get a negative but AF does not appear, most women who are pregnant will get a positive on a urine test within a further week after this. Fxd for you this month. I am now on my 4th cycle ttc after my miscarriage :( and can't believe the time has gone so quickly.

Aww Nicki :( Four cycles is hard. Have you tried SMEP? I did find that worked for us last time.

I have more stretchy CM today so going to get OH to DTD tonight and tomorrow as he is away Mon, Tues and Weds nights! Typical.
