a small update from me, yesterday went to a picnic for the birthday of a friend of mine and held her newborn son (born 28th April) and managed not to cry... small victories...0

tiny_tear I think that is a big step x It is hard, I am feeling down again thinking about my little man and that was back in October, so you are doing fab x0

Well done tiny_tear, sounds like you're doing better than I am
I feel guilty even typing this, but my 2 pregnant colleagues are doing my head in somewhat with their constant chatter about buggies, bottle, cots, moses baskets etc. Another colleague has her first grandchild due any day now, so she joins in too. Luckily my friend who sits opposite me will often gently steer the subject away from baby talk. When they speak about how long they have left I can't help mentally calculating in my head how far along I should be now, which is pointless, not to mention upsetting.
Sorry to moan, just having a bad day x
Hope you're OK MSM xxxx0 -

Me and my partner lost our baby 2 years and 4 months ago, we didn't even know she was pregnant until we had to get rushed into hospital due to abdominal pain, got told she was pregnant, but had lost it.
Honestly the worst experience of my life, and I still think about it today, and to be honest I never really had chance to grieve as I had to be supportive and strong for my partner.
Now she is pregnant again, and everything seems to be going well, the doctors and nurses are being really supportive and making us feel a lot better, but every time she has some pain or whatever, I get incredibly stressed and anxious.
I can't imagine what it's like for the mothers, but I thought I would just share my story, don't know why really.Per Mare Per Terram0 -
Hi Relic, sorry for your loss. It's not often we get to hear a bloke's point of view. Best wishes to you & your partner, hope all goes well with this pregnancy xx0

Thanks Ali. It can be hard at work being surrounded by people. I have a 'just returned from Mat leave' one and everyone is coming to her desk to talk about babies...
Relic, thanks for your post. it's hard for the dads as well, but sometimes we women get too engrossed in our pain... My husband had someone at work with similar dates to mine and it was hard for him to see her as well...0 -

Relic I hope that by sharing your story you gain some comfort from the words of others on here who sadly have also experienced loss and hope everything continues to go well with your partners pregnancy.
I had a mc in aug 2009, I did not know that i was pregnant, I was at home but it was truly terrible emotionally and left us both devastated. I can remember it being very difficult for my hubby as he said had noone to confide in other than me as blokes dont really talk about things but we got through it. In the end he did talk to a female friend at work but it was difficult.
I have just tested positive this week, but at the moment the sense of dread is overwhelming and both of our anxiety levels are off the scale although we are occasionally trying to be rational as I swing between thinking perhaps there is nothing there etc I have pcos, am overweight so odds seem stacked the wrong way. My previous mc was 10wks ish and think am just under 6.
All the ladies on here who have said about the difficulties with people around them either pregnant/have babies/or talking about them have my ((hugs)) as I know exactly how you feel. I sat next to my colleague who was pregnant after I mc did not want her to know. When my friend told me she was preg I was truly a wreck, I ended up not seeing her until after it was born. You just have to find a way through everything but its not easy.
Anyway enough rambling, back to quietly panicking.
Hugs to those who need them
