  • Oh !!!!!!! So I could possibly be walking around like a bomb is strapped to me for 9months? Or 7months and it still goes wrong!

13days till my next scan to see what my sac is doing and if theres still a hb! Tick tock, time feels like its going extra slow!

Think I'm turning into a miserable old cow! :(

(Promise I'll cheer up if everythings OK nxt week, but not counting on that!)

lo.. yes.. I felt like that with DD1.. thing is though once you get further on it is still likely to bleed but not detach.. every day the placenta gets bigger to a larger area holding it in place. DD1 I got to 37 weeks.. so you never know.. I did bleed constantly it was nasty.. but she was fine

thanks! it's all a bit recent and weird in my little brain... even I don't know whether to feel happy or not

i will keep on the diet, exercise and upping the vegerable intake, keep on with folic acid and ditch the condoms...

    let's see what happens now...

I lurked yesterday to see if you had posted any news!:)
I felt the same as you when we got the results happy/relieved but then i wanted them to give me something to stop it happening again.
I also asked about taking asprin and got told no - well the doctor said 'your still young no point in putting hormones into you' (didnt like him much!!)
    Wish you all the best

I'm now 5+1 and think im being referred to the EPC to have a scan at 6weeks and i think i will be under there care and have regular scans too see why im not going past 8weeks.

Once I get a positive test I will go there again, they will re-do the coagulant test in case it's something that changes in pregnancy and they will also give me a scan at 6 weeks... (and hopefully 8 and 10 as well...)

Wishing you good luck! Hope your scan will show a lovely healthy heartbeat!

MSM great news very happy for you.

As to my news - NORMAL
All the tests blooming normal - Factor V, Lupus, Anticoagulants, Platelets, etc... all normal!
Consultant even stressed I should NOT do the daily aspirin as it might do worse

Now I need to keep on trying and go there when I get my positive test as there is a test they will re-do, in case it's something that changes in pregnancy (the coagulation thing)...

In a way I am happy and relieved nothing is the matter, but on the other hand I kind of wished I had come away with a prescription and something to *do*!

    oh hum...

In good news though, weighed myself in their scales at the clinic and it means I have lost nearly 5kg since my first appointment in March, so i am going the right way... down!

    Hello Tiny Tear

Possibly jumping in uninvited here, but picked up on your comment about asprin. I had all the same tests as you (lupus etc.) due to recurrent early miscarriages. Again like you, everything came up clear. However I was offered treatment with asprin & heparin as my consultant was running a trial on treatment of unexplained miscarriages and thought I may benefit. And, to put it mildly, I did.

Do you have any history of auto-immune conditions in your family? I have had alopaecia in the past, also eczema, etc. and my sister has SLE. As I say, sorry for butting in. Im sure your Consultant knows a smidge more about these things than me!

    Good luck...

Hello. I don't really have history of auto-immune conditions in my family or myself, so I think I will follow the Consultant's advice...

I am being seen at the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic at St. Mary's and my Consultant is Mr. Raj Rai, who seems to be one of the top doctors in the country for this, working also closely with Prof Regan... So I am hoping they know what they are talking about...

Could well be that when I get pregnant and do the coagulant test again things have changed - as he said it might, just might happen that things change for me in pregnancy... so i have to wait and see...

I am glad things worked out for you...
  • At least your getting help now, must be nicer to feel you are working towards a healthy pregnancy!
Good luck, and share any info you get about keeping the beans sticking in there!

tiny tear, thanks for sharing your results. I know what you mean about wanting them to find something, and have something to work towards, but I realise in most cases they don't. Got my 2nd set of blood tests next week (day 21 of my cycle) and also OH is having bloods taken on that day too.

    MSM, hope you're OK XXXX
