Susan.. if you need to offload do so, your situation is no better than anyone elses and in some ways it is worse. Pregnancy is very precarious and taken far too lightly by far too many people. I sometimes wish I was one of those people who when they got pregnant it meant they got a baby, sadly I am not, but life goes on. ou say whatever you need to say.. May I ask a nosey question? Feel free to ignore if you do not wish to say but may I ask what you named your little girl? You said yesterday you liked it when friends used her name and I have been pondering what her name might be since. Obviously if you don't wish to share don't.. I fully understand :D
Thanks for asking - we called her Isabella which means 'consecrated to God'. I wrote a bit about her on my blog: http://sinnersavedbygod.blogspot.com/2011/04/isabellas-story.html

One of the things I find increasingly infuriating is the fact that it seems to be pretty universal (as evidenced by so many of the discussions on here) that people are not provided with practical information about what will happen and/or what to do during/afterwards. This time I was given a leaflet about treatment options and a mountain of information about post mortems when diagnosed and then after Isabella was born we were given a few leaflets but it was all about stuff like bereavement groups and the hospital garden of remembrance and stuff like that. Getting information about burial arrangement was like getting blood out of a stone and the fact that I would still get milk was only mentioned as an aside by one of the midwives in an "oh by the way" kind of way.

And they told me I would easily have enough warning to be able to get to hospital (I didn't tell them that I intended to stay at home till afterwards) but actually I had so little warning that if I'd been outside in the garden I'm not even sure I would have made it inside.

Please carry on and post here MSM x Although you have your BFP you probably feel a bit in limbo as to what the outcome might be.For me, I am constantly bleeding(not a lot) so have to wait still til I try again!! I feel I cant post on the TTC thread as I am not officially yet, so am in limbo too!!
I'm sure you would be welcome - I've been told I am welcome even though we are currently waiting for two or three months.

Read your blog of the day of the birth, I can't imagine what you have been going through, only to take my pain & x100!

Jules, there is now a 'waiting to TTC' thread, I think for people like you. They are preparing their minds & bodies for the time they can TTC.

Feeling really crap this afternoon, very tired & had already booked DS into after sch club as I have some deadlines at work. Luckily sitting at a desk for most the day. Trousers cutting into belly which makes me think I could dislodge sac! Also what if its already happened? Would I bleed straight away?!

Trying to eat healthy today, but just feel sick, don't think it's ms, more sick about the situation.

Deciding if I should tell close family, I know they want to be involved in my life, but do I put them through the same upset as me? Think I'll keep my mouth shut for now, until one visits & the house is a mess - I have a real excuse this time!

Just me, OH & you lot then!

Susan.. that is quite disgraceful.. I had milk after a m/c at 11 weeks. Isabella is a gorgeous name.. :D Anyway.. now you've made me blubber in my cuppa.. It sounds like the short time you had with Isabella was peaceful and calm and just as you planned those last few days. It is reassuring to read you had the support of hubby there and your wee girl was able to see her sister, she won't be just a name and a mystery to her in years to come which I think is a good thing. Funny you should mention having a funny feeling about the outcome from the off I have felt very similar with this one.. like my luck has to run out sooner or later.. what worries me more is I was right about the delivery of DD3 and I am really terrified about going for the 20 week scan as well.. though I'll be 22 weeks!

The medical profession are not interested in the individual only the physical process.. which really annoys me, they should have someone on call 24/7 to speak to parents in that position. It is not comparable to a loss early on, it can't be so shouldn't be classed as the same.

I hope your TTC journey is short :D

    Thank you for sharing..

MSM.. snug trousers will not dislodge a baby that is meant to stay.. if i had come away you'd be bleeding already, probably before the sac dislodged! Now behave.. and go have a lie down and rest. Telling others is a personal thing.. I tell mine nothing.. do what you feel is right! I found the one time I did tell others they couldn't give a flying fig anyway...

Got my PJ's on now, just 2 make sure!

Making dinner, then putting my feet up!

The more worrying thing, these elastcated waist trousers fitted me last time up to 8wk/10wks! Now I can't be comfy in them at 4 or whatever I may be! Fat cow! :rotfl:

MSM great news very happy for you.

As to my news - NORMAL
All the tests blooming normal - Factor V, Lupus, Anticoagulants, Platelets, etc... all normal!
Consultant even stressed I should NOT do the daily aspirin as it might do worse

Now I need to keep on trying and go there when I get my positive test as there is a test they will re-do, in case it's something that changes in pregnancy (the coagulation thing)...

In a way I am happy and relieved nothing is the matter, but on the other hand I kind of wished I had come away with a prescription and something to *do*!

    oh hum...

In good news though, weighed myself in their scales at the clinic and it means I have lost nearly 5kg since my first appointment in March, so i am going the right way... down!

I don't know whether to say I'm glad they found nothing wrong or not but at least statistically your chances of the next pregnancy being successful go right back up.

thanks! it's all a bit recent and weird in my little brain... even I don't know whether to feel happy or not

i will keep on the diet, exercise and upping the vegerable intake, keep on with folic acid and ditch the condoms...

    let's see what happens now...
  • Does anyone know hwere I can find some advice about my 'detatching sac' or 'threatened mc' ?

I just want to find out if I can help at all! Can my 'sac' reattach? Is this threatened mc on threatening for the 12weeks (if I get that far) or will it be threatening for the whole pg?

Is there a point that the sac isn't used? Does the sac come away before the hb stops in most mcs? Or the other way around?

Wish I had some kind of information! Grrr!

    Another day, another rant! :)

    Sorry!

If the baby is still alive the sac is attached. The sac is the amniotic sac so is used throughout the pregnancy. there is nothing you can do except wait and see.. what will be will be!

I think in most early m/c's the baby stops growing then the heart stops and then the sac comes away.. but not always.
