Well if you are pg, then I mite be!

Yesterday very pale lines (appeared ages after test & after I posted on here!), today mediumly pink lines & a Digital 1-2weeks!
Wasn't going to come out of the pregnancy closet, but if it helps you, and me, then I'm out.

No way near as excited as last time, very nervous, just relieved to have taken a step on the pregnancy 'snakes & ladders board' as it was called so rightly before!

Not 100% sure I am, no symptoms etc, but I might be, and it's better than nothing.

Hope that helps Hula, maybe we are, maybe we aren't, but we could be ;)

Hi everyone hope you are all well

Well i guess the horrible doctor was right, i did another test today (clearblue) which came out not pregnant, so at least the hormones have now gone down and hopefully my body is getting back to normal, whatever that is.
Msm- still got my fingers crossed for you and everyone else.

    Hi,
I'm hoping somebody could shed light on my situation.

I found out I was pregnant but later the same week started bleeding. I have been bleeding for 5 weeks (one week like a normal period the rest very light spotting) and the hospital said I had naturally miscarried. As I was still getting positive tests last week they called me back and had an internal scan.

The consultant said I had an ectopic pregnancy as they could see a mass in my tube. They took blood samples and told me to come back the next day to get the injection.

Later that day they phoned and said my hcg was actually very low (22) so they wanted to wait until today and give me another test, if it reduced adequately I wouldn't need any intervention.

Today I went back and my hcg was 12. I spoke to the consultant (a different one to Wednesday) who said as I was so low it wasn't ectopic

So my question is, would an ectopic looking mass be able to be seen on a TV ultrasound with a hcg so low?????

I'm going back on sunday for more tests where I will talk this through again but wanted to try and understand before then as these consultants seem to assume I should understand this whole situation

    Thanks
    K

    Hi kate.
I have way too much experience of Ectopic pg's, lost both of my tubes this way and have literally just recovered from my most recent Ectopic/Salpingectomy.
    A brief version of events-
My hcg got up to around 400 with this ectopic and a mass was found in my tube, which is when they diagnosed an ectopic.
We opted for 'expectant management' which I where they do repeat blood tests, every 48hours to start then every 7 days if the levels are falling.
My levels fell all the way back to around 90 ish over a few weeks but then I started to get pains and was admitted to hospital for observation. My levels continued to fall til around 70 then started to rise again.
The registrar said that the ectopic still can't possibly still be there with levels that low but we will scan you again to see what else is going on.
Lo and behold the scan showed the ectopic still there, same size and free fluid (blood) in my abdomen as the ectopic had damaged my tube and had made it bleed. It wasn't a rupture as such but my tube was damaged and the ectopic wasn't leaving so I had the tube removed (it was already damaged and we are IVF patients anyway so having no tubes makes no difference to my fertility)
So, saying all that, in my opinion it is possible that you have an ectopic pregnancy, but if your levels have fallen again and gone even lower then it should resolve itself and your body should reabsorb anything left behind. Sounds like a tubal miscarriage to me.
I hope your next hcg test shows a level under 1 so that you can move on from this painful and upsetting experience.
Please ask if you have anymore questions.

Just to let you all know I fell pregnant while miscarrying my first with no break, so whenever i went for scans there was always something there. the second one also ended in miscarriage but that is not the point...

so it is possible to just fall pregnant with no AF in between...

    good luck to you all...

i was never told to do pregnancy tests after my miscarriages, must be different doctors give different advice...

I believe its healthier psychologically and physically to wait a month at least until a miscarriage is complete.. so its a seperate pregnancy.. I know this isnt what people want to do as they desperate for a baby but its better that way.

My wife and I lost 2 early in the pregnancy as well... its pretty devastating when it happens.

Having done it several times, I disagree. The period arriving after a m/c is like yet another kick in the face glaring at you that you failed to carry your baby to term..

The only reason docs tell you to wait is because it is easier to date a pregnancy when they can go on the menstrual cycle.. there is no proven link m/c is more or less likely to happen.
