  • Hello all, been to the EPAU this morning and am booked in to have erpc tomorrow afternoon. I saw the same nurse as I've seen each time, she was very nice and completely agreed the erpc was the best thing this time. She is also going to write to my GP with a recommendation that I be referred to a consultant for testing to try to find out why it keeps happening. Even if they don't find anything out, it means I'll be under that consultant next time I get pregnant and will get early scans etc, so I feel quite positive today on the whole.

I've had so many lovely messages from work and people on here and it really has helped. Onwards & upwards!!:A:A:A

I've kept up with this thread throughout my own pregnancy. As I had a miscarriage a couple of years ago and I think once you've had one... you never stop worrying with subsequent pregnancies. I continued to lurk through your progress throughout the less than 12 week thread and wished with everything in me that this was going to be successful for you. I am so so sorry that that wasn't the case.

What has struck me with such awe is how much dignity and poise you have. You have truly humbled me and I just wanted to come in and say that to you. You really are remarkable hun.

I don't have magical healing words. I don't have a magic wand that would make it all better. If I did... I would give everything to you for I think after all you have been through you deserve this one thing.

I continue to pray that you get some answers and complete the family you so desperately want.

I've been in and out of this thread trying to find something to say. Just something.

My thoughts are with you. Hugs xx

I wish I had a decent epu.I found out my baby had died 4 weeks ago, and am still suffering.I have an ectopic pregnancy in the csection scar, which is extremely rare.I wanted an ercp but have been told I cant as too dangerous.I have had medication 2 weeks ago to help dissolve everything and it started working last week as I bled for England and had to have a blood transfusion but to my horror the baby is still there.I feel in limbo as hospital just say it will take time, but I cannot move on.This is my 3rd mc now and the last was at 18 weeks. feel so sad that they can just leave me like this

Sorry for rant but have had it with my local hospital. Sorry to portsmouth ali I really feel for you xx
  • Are we supposed to be better people after this? Kinder to others? Because I want to be more selfish & look after number 1! Grrr!

FWIW I think any and all emotions are valid here. I also (with portsmouthali) feel bad that when I have heard about others suffering, before I knew what it was like, I have rather dismissed it as nothing much.

But I don't know about long term, I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger??
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • So sorry Jules, this in-between bit is always hideous - I can't imagine how awful it must be when it drags on for weeks xx sending you my best wishes that this is over soon for you. Will you also be referred to a specialist now you've had 3 losses?

Charlie, your lovely words brought a tear to my eye. Thanks so much, it really means a lot :) :)xx

Had not much pain or bleeding overnight, so heading off for ERPC in an hour or so. Had my last cup of tea at 7am this morning, am only allowed water now. I'm gasping for a cuppa!! I may be too groggy to post later, but will try :)

hope it all goes ok for you today ali x

jules its so horrible to hear what some have to go through, makes it so much harder when its dragged out, hopefully not much longer for you. I'm amazed there isn't more they could do for you xxx

MSM deffinately more selfish here too, made me realise I need to put myself first and I do sometimes probably a bit too much but I took a backseat for far too long.

    Hi ladies.
I've been following this thread for a few weeks now, a huge part of me hasn't wanted to post here, and i'm still not sure if I should.
I am 8 weeks today (technically) with an IVF pregnancy (7th attempt)
We discovered at 6 weeks that the pg is ectopic in my right tube, however it is said to be self resolving and I am being 'expectantly managed' which is basically taking blood once a week til my hcg levels reach 0.
My levels only ever got to 400 and they knew there was a problem, after a few scans they finally discovered that it was indeed an ectopic, but as my levels had began falling by then they decided it was safe to leave.
Levels last week were 120 something and are now 93 a whole week later, at this rate it could be another month til I am fully discharged and clear of danger (can still rupture)
I know how you ladies feel about the waiting hell, I still have all the pg symptoms, they are not getting any less and nobody will/can do anything for me. I wish they would do the surgery and take the tube etc away (badly damaged/twisted anyway) but they deem it not neccesary and I just have to wait.
I'm not bleeding or anything, had some brown etc but no t what you would expect and nobody can tell me when that will happen either, but it is likely to be when the hcg drops right down.
I'm so sorry that this thread is so busy atm, but the support here is amazing.

  • Good luck Ali, will be thinking of you.
Jules, are you saying you are having an ectopic pregnancy honey? Sorry my brain is frazzled! If you are there is a fabulous support forum on the ectopic pregnancy trust plus loads of information on the site too. It was my lifeline when I had my ectopic last year.
Big hugs to you all ladies, life really sucks sometines.
    xx
  • Lisa, sorry our posts crossed, I'm so sorry to hear you're having an ectopic pregnancy. It's such a worrying time because your own health is also in danger as well as having to come to terms with the loss of your much wanted baby. You might also find the ectopic pregnancy trust site helpful.
    xx

Ali - i hope it goes well today. X
I woke up feeling like crap today, i feel so !!!!ed off at everything. I tried to get pregnant for 3 years (iui and ivf) with my ex and nothing happened, i thought that pain was bad but compared to this. This is the worst thing i have ever been through. Then i get pregnant while on the pill and then everything gets taken away from me. People have said well you can try again but i am now so worried it may not happen again. Life does not seem fair when i see all the people on this thread, going through this pain. I have never belived this world is a bloody terrible place but i am coming round to thinking it is.
    Hugs to everyone. X
