So sorry MSM xx from what you've said, if the pains gone then you've probably passed everything so chances are you won't need erpc. They will scan you at EPAU to make sure everything has gone, I remember they did quite a long scan for me and checked fallopian tubes etc.
I could never bring myself to look too closely at what came out, I think it would've given me nightmares. And don't feel bad about drinking, you've got to do whatever gets you through. Take care xx0 -
Going to go2 hospital tomorrow for appointment< but hopefully EPAU will see me first.
I'm still bleeding, but hopefully that'll just slow down.
Fed up with everyone telling me to try again soon, it's not like I baked a cake that didn't rise! Cant go to Tesco & buy more flour, sugar & make it again!
Will be a long time b4 I'm ready 2 even think about it!!:j - DS - 7

Dear MSM,
Poor you, you're having a really horrible time. I'm so sorry you lost the baby - and I'll tell you that when I miscarried, that was the phrase I couldn't stand hearing. It took a good few days/weeks for me to be able to even think about the fact that I'd lost a baby and that's how long it took me to begin to grieve.
People telling you to think about trying again aren't trying to hurt you but as you say, it feels as if they're saying, "Oh dear, never mind, try again!" as if you'd made a silly little mistake. You need to hold onto the fact that this wasn't a silly little mistake, it was a real loss of a baby you really wanted.
When you have mourned and grieved, however long that takes, you will be able to think about moving on and trying again. You'll know when the time is right.
I do feel for you so much. Your body has been through the mill and your hormones will be all over the place and making you feel awful.
Please post here as much as you like, there are always people willing to listen and offer advice if that's what you want. If not, shoulders to cry on are always handy.
Best wishes and much sympathy

Tell them that if it helps you. I decided I was adamant that this was a sign I was too old, and that was it, but then oddly enough the (gorgeous) gynae registrar convinced me I should have another go. Each to their own, and people shouldn't poke their oars in, but they are just being accidentally crass.portsmouthali wrote: »And don't feel bad about drinking, you've got to do whatever gets you through. Have to confess getting rather tipsy when I found out:eek:Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I'm back, thank you everyone for your kind words and advice.
I went to hospital, booked in then had a word with the nurse, they said a consultant would come and see me to see what we'd do.
After seein the anesthetist, then a Dr who couldn't guarantee me a scan, then more nurses (!!) I finally got a scan (then an internal one) they didn't tell me much, but they couldn't see much left. I asked about c-section damage, they said the midwife would discuss with me. I asked if there was anything they could see wrong etc, again talk to midwife.
I was sent back to ward, then the Dr who saw me Thurs rang down, told me I could go home, that only a bit of clot was left. I asked again about damage from c-section, or checking anything else. She said I have to ring my GP and start the investigation that way. (FOBBED OFF!) and no midwife saw me
I'm glad its over & I don't need ERPC, would like to have come away with some more information, as now I have to wait longer, but I do have one great thing....
A PHOTO FROM WED SCAN!!!
I asked, knowing there wouldn't be, and there was! still on the computer!!! Looks like a baked bean on a big plate (was zoomed in when I saw it Wed& it had more shape etc then)
but it's my baked bean, and I can keep that forever and not have to buy a teddy, plant a tree or kidnap someones elses baby now!!
Not looked again yet, having my first day off work since this started, going to have a rest, then look & have a cry, then sleep and tomorrow is a brand new day! Life starts again (I hope!)
Will still pop in, but hopefully not so gloomy & needy.
Thanks again everyone xxx:j - DS - 7
