Perhaps the apartments in the Jersey City area.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Have a browse of ba.com and expedia.co.uk flight and hotel sections, put in Jersey City as your destination and select 1 room with all the adults and children in that 'room', some apartments should show up in your search.
The prices should give you an idea of total cost in this area. This is then your comparator for doing a separate trip.
For hotels look at hotelscomparison and hotelscombined websites. I find the maps can be very helpful.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

I'm looking to go back again for thanksgiving next year with my children, this time for 7 nights. Can anyone recommend where to search for accomodation as doing a package for 7 nights seems to be working out a lot more expensive than pricing it separately. Thanks.
I thought the packages seemed expensive until I tried to price it up separately, flights were reasonable but hotel prices were crazy. It was our 1st time and we were looking to be around Times Square.
We ended up booking a package from BA.com as couldn't get close to their prices booking separately.0 -
I've used BA packages in the last however for 7 nights they seem a lot more expensive than I would've expected so just trying to do it different ways before I decide what to do.0

I appreciate what you were saying and trying to do, I felt the same but the cost of hotels in Manhatten, and certainly around Times Square really threw me, £150-£200 a night, for an average touristy type hotel.
Just looked for a week at the Sheraton you mentioned and a week around thanksgiving is showing as starting from £1,200 on hotels.com for a non refundable standard room.0 -

There is normally a BA sale end of December, we booked last year in the sale for Thanksgiving 1 week at Sheraton Time SQ for just under £2k (2 adults) about what the hotel wanted for Thanksgiving week. That was flying LBA - Heathrow - JFKTotally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0

Btw the flight sales have started already and there are some great fares.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Agreed, some great fares in this sale. Unfortunately our dates for next year are not covered (20th 27th December)
Are there any other sales in the new year by BA, or Virgin that could cover our dates?
anyone know?
I'm not bothered who we book with. Just looking for the cheapest operator really.0
