This time its seems no matter what length of time i select beyond 13 days the price is an extra £400 on top of the actual package price. I was just wondering if this was normally the case with the longer thr holiday the more it costs extra for flights.
I'm not seeing that happening on expedia.co.uk. Just searched flight/hotel packages from 01 July 16 for 11, 13, and 14 nts, and the price looks to be rising only in line with extra hotel nights, e.g. (Prices per person sharing, hotels chosen randomly from 1st page of results)
Welliington hotel: 11 nts £1265, 13 nts £1403, 14 nts £1452
Hol Inn Times Sq: 11 nts £1275, 13 nts £1417, 14 nts £1477
Wyndham New Yorker: 11 nts £1567, 13 nts £1773, 14 nts £1846
Pennsylvania: 11 nts £1302, 13 nts £1446, 14 nts £1509.
With different hotels the change in price for extra nights might vary due to stay x pay y deals etc, but not seeing any massive movement in price that would indicate flights. In any case, if you are searching packages how are you seeing a flight price change? Or are you searching flights separately?0 -
no part of the package at the moment its 1,383 each for the hotels then from the flights page thomas cook are no extra as in 0 then from there it increases dramatically to £428 with klm0

yeah give me a sec ill try do a screen dump

OK, seen it, but that just looks like a supplement for flying a different airline (KLM operated by Delta vs Thomas Cook), not a different price based on length of stay.
The £1383 with Thomas Cook includes their airfare, it's just £428 more to fly with KLM/Delta. You are not getting the Thomas Cook flight free, it's just how they present the pricing, a base package based on one airline, with supplements for other flight choices.0 -
Mmmmmmm so it's the original price but flying with say United would cost us an extra £459 each weird how it seemed cheaper the past two times might have to do some serious budgeting then if it doesn't change.0

Many things could change between now and July 2016, never mind 2018...
Looking at the flight only prices, it looks like the direct flights from Manchester for next July with Delta, United and American (I know you're not travelling then) are all coming in around £1000 return at the moment, except Thomas Cook who are around £400 cheaper, which is what your package search showed. That's a fairly steep price for economy, but maybe there is high demand and they don't need to discount.
If you are willing to fly indirectly there might be good deals originating in Dublin or even London, but so much can change before your intended trip date.0 -
Yeah I'll keep a eye out just got slit to plan for it hence rough idea what it gonna cost0

For 14 days I'd do NYC, Boston and the Massechusets and Maine coast, would be a fantastic holiday in July.
By 2018 I expect Norwegian to be offering more flights.
In the meantime I'd just save money.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Yeah I'm just a extreme planner I really like flying from Manchester really good airport hopefully the prices might go down but for the moment I'm saving galore.0

Wow, it's almost here, 2 weeks tomorrow and we are off to the Big Apple!!!
We are staying near the Empire State Building. Can anyone recommend somewhere reasonably upmarket (I'm thinking bellini's!) for brunch on a Saturday morning, which isn't too far?
Thank you!0 -
