Hi, What a brilliant thread - found our such a lot of useful stuff. My friend and I are off to NYC for a week in 8 days time. She is a veggie - can anyone recommend any veggie restaurants? We are staying near the Hell's Kitchen area and are on a bit of a budget, so can't go mad food wise.
    Thanks...;)

I can recommend checking out some of these dishes.

This is a link to my New York Google maps.
I'm afraid there seems to be something of a hole in our map around Hell's kitchen.

    And Brooklyn. And Queens..

I'm wondering if, with everyone's knowledge on this thread, we could make an ULTIMATE NYC map. Collaboration is in fashion right?

suziewuzie, Hell's Kitchen has a good range of restaurants many with non meat options on their standard menus.

  • I know the question about ATMs that don't charge an ATM-charge comes up fairly often on this thread so I thought I'd add my two cents as it were:

I have a Norwich and Peterborough debit card (no overseas charges imposed by the bank) and I used it to withdraw cash from several TD Bank cash machines and I wasn't charged by them. There are a fair few of their branches dotted around Manhattan and I saw one in Queens too. Hope this helps someone. :)

There's an offer on the NYC Groupon page today for gourmet vegan food from V-Note on the upper east side. $15 for $30 worth of food or $30 for $60 worth.
  • Thanks for all the ideas.

I'd prefer the location of the New Yorker.
