hey everyone,
I got an email today about a reminder of the "OCTOBER15" promocode that is ending tonight at midnight for an extra 15% off any hotel on ebookers.com-thought I would share! Havent checked if you could use this with quidco-but worth looking into.
Also wanted to ask-how to go about buying Groupons for NYC as billing info is required...any thoughts?
Thanks!
TC
I booked the cupcake tour on groupon about two weeks ago and just put my own details as normal and it was fine0 -

Hi I guess upto around $80 per person, looked at The View restaurant and did book a table but have since cancelled as we would like the traditional Thanks Giving meal and The View was a buffet style.
Your recommendations would be gratefully received.0 -
I can only comment on our experience, we only waited for 15 mins at Newark and bus turned up on time for return to JFK it was a 05.00 pick up though. Then we booked it for transfer in san Francisco again no problems.
Yeah. Lucky.
I've heard stories that go like the following.
Picked up at the airport, sat there for around 1 hour for the Van to fill up. Through to Manhattan, got dropped off after driving around for 45 minutes.
Pick up stories are along the lines that the van doesn't turn up, and then they won't refund.
Oh, and Public Transport is CHEAPER and QUICKER than a shared shuttle service, so it makes no sense to use them in NYC.

Hi guys
Before I start I just want to say this thread is great...
I was in NY in April and booked my hotel (pennsylvania, not great btw) before I seen this
Just wondered if anyone has any ideas on the best options for a hotel. I am stopping in NY before going to New Orleans for a week from the 1st - 3rd of April. It will be 4 mid 20 yo guys who are really going to do a bit of sightseeing, eating and drinking. We're not too fussy, just looking for a good deal and not a complete dump. Also not fussed on location, preferrably in Manhattan but definitely open to suggestions.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

As you can see its not very filled in! And these are some of the places i def want to see:
NY Library
5th Avenue Tiffanys
Central Park
FAO Schwarz (piano!)
Grand Central station
Natural History Museum
FAO Shwarz and Tiffanys are right next door to each other and Central park.
And Grand central is a ten minute walk from TOTRTESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Has anybody heard any updates about when River Cafe may reopen?
We're in NYC 11th - 15th November and were hoping to visit on our first night after walking over Brooklyn Bridge, but I see it is still shut. Any recommendations for a suitably 'special' alternative? It ticked all the boxes for a memorable (if expensive!) first-night in NYC.
Restaurants already pencilled in our itinerary are Collichio & Son (for lunch), La Massaria for pre-theatre and possible 21 Club for pre-concert at Carnegie Hall.
I also need to find another restaurant for dinner on the night we don't have anything planned for - so suggestions for a dinner with dancing after maybe, or somewhere where we could go onto a cocktail bar afterward would be welcome too.
Less than a month to go and I'm getting very excited, but totally overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choices!0
