    QUICK QUESTION

Please respond ASAP if you have an opinion.

I am currently booked in Cosmopolitan Tribeca but I can change today to the New Yorker for the same price.

    Do i change or stick??

    First time visitor in NYC

    Any help greatly appreciated :)

I prefer the Cosmopolitan Tribeca. There are excellent restaurants, cafes and bars nearby and you also have brilliant Transportation links to both the East and West Side of NYC. Walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 Memorial, Century 21, Greenwich Village, Staten Island Ferry, Chinatown.

Even though it's not "midtown" you can be there in less than 15 minutes, and you've got plenty of the tourist attractions close to you too.

I'd take the Cosmo over the New Yorker. I didn't especially enjoy our stay there.

Sorry peeps, i am sure this has been asked 100 times before but couldn't find it....

Whats the deal with the attraction passes? What website gets you discount, and is it really worth it?

The main attractions I want to do is TOTR, and the boat around statue of liberty (or maybe the statue cruise itself)
Wins Pre-2011 : Arctic Monkeys Tickets
2011 Wins:Two and A Half Men Series 1-8 DVD Boxset

    Hi Madcal,

I think you need: http://www.statuecruises.com/choose_tickets.aspx for your boat trip and
http://www.topoftherocknyc.com/ for TOTR, although I think the more attractions you book the greater the discount.

Although I'm happy to be corrected, currently looking into this for my trip end of Nov so if anyone does know of cheaper that would be great
  • I'm counting down . . . . 8 weeks on Saturday until I go to New York!!

I'm going with my mum and we'll be there for 8 days so I'd like to plan a chill out afternoon one day. I'd like to visit a day spa and sit and chill in sauna/steam room / pool and maybe even have a massage.

I don't want to spend a fortune - I've seen Mandarin Oriental advertise a massage for $650 which is way over my budget!!

Usually I'd say take a taxi but Newark is slightly different. Take the monorail to the station and you can get a train straight into Penn. I don't know where your hotel is but you can get a taxi at Penn easy.

We got a shared bus with super shuttle was $17 each no messing about carrying cases through subway and stations good views of Manhattan when coming in also.
