Just wondered if anyone could assist with this.
We're off to the big apple in 2 weeks and wanted to watch a baseball game at the Yankees or Mets. I've been looking at prices for tickets on the teams websites and they seem simple enough to get hold of.
However, I've also noticed that the same tickets seem to be cheaper on a website called Stub Hub, but I can't register because I'm not based in the US or Canada.
Does anyone know a reputable alternative for those of us based in the UK?
Any help much appreciated.Keep smiling,
Gary:rotfl:0 -
Dont know about reputable alternatives, other than sourcing them from ticketmaster direct.
You can however buy them from stubhub, alas it means a quick phone call to the states and they will set your account up for you over the phoneLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

You can register yourself on StubHub. I'm registered and have bought tickets.
Maybe e-mail their customer support if you require help. http://www.stubhub.com/help/0 -

We just got back from a trip and went to the Yankees v Marriners
I preordered the tickets from the ticketmaster site after comparing them with stubhub. We got good seats and the price was better than on stubhub. Not sure if thats the norm.0 -

Have you been then mate?
As you saw, that is for 2. I was surprised at the price as assumed it would involve a stop over. Once I realised they were direct, I booked it pronto as the best price I saw for direct flights alone was £855 for two.
Fingers crossed the 3% cashback kicks in soon to bring it even lower!0 -
Hi All!
I am looking to find a good price for a hotel room for two people in NYC for November 8th-16th. I have trawled so many sites and ended up confusing myself after reading differing reviews of places. I was hoping that at that time, prices would be quite reasonable. We are on a budget but have both been to NY numerous times before so aware of the prices for rooms. Ideally, we would like to stay in Manhattan but Brooklyn would also be acceptable (always stayed in Manhattan so the change might be nice?) The places i have previously stayed seem to have shot up in price since 2004.
Thanks in advance for any help, its much appreciated!0 -

My query basically is has anyone stayed in this hotel and is £1400 reasonable or could i do better elsewhere. I'll be travelling alone so happy to stay anywhere in manhattan.
I stayed there in March for a week. I paid £59 a night and loved it. We had a large room on a high floor overlooking the building site and downtown, 2 double beds, coffee table and armchair, fridge and microwave. There's free coffee in the lobby all day, free bottled water on every floor, free wifi and computers to use and they even gave us a free cocktail on the roof. And just round the corner from the subway, Cenuary 21 and Wall Street. I loved it and would go back to the hotel anyday. :j0
