It depends on how much time off work you need this year & any fare difference. I booked an 8pm flight from London to New York and arrive back in London at 6am over the easter week end so I need the minimum amount of time off as leave from work because my boyfriend is a contractor. I can cope with 4 hours a night sleep twice.

I've been looking at the metro passes and if you buy a 7 day pass then it states it doesn't cover you after midnight:

Good for unlimited subway and local bus rides until midnight, 7 days from day of first use.

It seems a bit strange considering the metro runs 24/7? Am I supposed to pay a cash fare after midnight?

You've miss read it. If means the card runs until midnight on the 7th day of 1st use in other words if you first use your card at lunch time on day one then your card won't expire until midnight on day 7

You might not have agreed with Mark's opinions but you can't deny he didn't know his stuff. To turn on him over one issue when he has contributed so much to this thread and people's NYC trips is ungrateful to say the least.

What the heck are you going on about.

I respect mark but his opinion is just that an opinion, I would never allow hos opinion to stop me eating, virgils steaks are great, staying, the novotel on times sq has been my fave hotel or going to times square.

There are plenty of people on here who have been to NYC as often as mark but they chose to keep low key which is up to them .

I, for instance, enjoy shopping and i dont really drink therefore if he says shopping is a waste of time and boozing is the way forward am i supposed to do as im told.

So get over yourself we all have opinions and we all have the right to express them, after all this is an open forum, and if someone doesnt agree with each other then thats the way of the world.
