When mrs greenface likes to spend i cannot stop the spending machine but can point her into the right shops for decent prices. Before she spots another Fendi bag in a Fendi shop for $700. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -
Thank you very much for your help. I've got a chart for a guide to sizes, but I always find sizes vary lots so will be trying things on. That'll be the fun without the expense!0

I live in a house with 2 women, who I've holidayed in NYC with. It's amazing what information my brain remembers.0 -
Oh Pee ........... You don't want to be spending too much time in the changing rooms of NYC when that big bad city is waiting to be explored ! Go and do the tourist sights but go and find places like The Corner Bistro, The Broome Street Bar,The White Horse Tavern and The Brass Monkey do a spot of lunch and then have a wander around and get the atmosphere of the city.
At Easter when we were last there we popped over to Juniors in Brooklyn, just up the street there is a Macys store and my wife shopped there and she found it cheaper than the main store.
Hey Greenie ......... We did the Apollo theartre tour in Harlem, really great "Billy Mitchell" the guide had me up on stage singing !!!!!!! As there were only 3 of us we joined another tour which was a group of ladies from a church in Brooklyn. Next year I'm going for the Wednesday night talent show ...........NOT !
May see you Sat night at the Bar in Dinas. I will be the one at the end of the bar slumped on the floor after trying all that real ale !
David
PS Has anyone any idea what "Victoria 's Secret" is ............ it's puzzled me for years and my wife won't let me go in to find out !0 -

I think this is a very silly question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.
I'm going with a friend and we were planning on taking £100 in dollars each in cash and several credit cards each, one being a Santander Zero card which we would use to withdraw cash - but with other less MSE back up options.
(I have travelled lots in Europe but outside of Europe have only been to Morocco and Vietnam, both of which have controlled currencies.)
My friend has been told that we won't be allowed in unless we are carrying more cash. We have booked the hotel in advance and have a return flight. My instinct is that this is complete rubbish but I would like some reassurance.0 -
Yep take richardw's advice and take a little more cash just to see you through the first hour oh sorry meant to say day and a bit ! Been many times to the US and have never been asked about money, normal questions are "whats the reason for your visit " ? and what is your job ?
When using your card use the m/c at the banks and don't go inside to the counter. A friend of ours was asked for ID and ended up having to go back the next day with his passport otherwise I think they said his card would be blocked ................. Bit of a pain as he had to go all the way back to the same bank down by the Bull !
Hey Greenie ................ Just got tickets for KoL in Vegas later in the year ! And Up the Wolves !!!!!!!!!!
