Hi folks :D I'd like to be In New York for my 50th birthday in November, Thomas Cook have quoted us (me & him) almost £1600 for 3 nights  I foolishly hoped that it would be about £1000. Could anyone tell me what an average sort of price would be, pray tell me that TC were V expensive? Thanks.

A quick point you say nov the last thurs in nov is thanksgiving and therefore prices would be slightly higher.

However £1600 is an ok price, have a look at expedia to compare and contrast, also remember quidco for a few £'s back.

One quick point 3 nights in NY really is'nt very long at all if you really wanna do it any justice

Thanks Phatbear - the TA mentioned it being thanksgiving. It's not much more to go for a week, but I'm not sure we could've afforded to eat for a week in NY.

    HI

The Sanctuary Hotel Times Square is coming up with good prices for our holiday in June. Has anyone been or could confirm the hotel/location would be good?

    Thanks
  • hello
we start our honeymoon :D in new york at the end of june - does anyone know which is the best city sightseeing tour to buy. We fancy a ferry trip and to go to Top of the Rock so any packages which include this would be great? Also, how much do they normally cost?

    thank you

Thing is you can spend as much or as little as you want on food, we always have a couple of nice meals, ie $100'ish for the pair of us on a trip and then we are happy with deli sandwiches/subway or mcdonalds. after all the memories of what you eat will soon be long gone but the memories of the trip will live on
