    Hi all,
Have read through this thread with much interest as going to NY for the first time next month. I'm thinking about what to do/things to see but will return on to ask my questions once I've figures things out more.
My question for now is does anyone know if there is a lounge in Terminal B at Newark Airport that Prioirty Pass members can access? We have an evening flight back to Heathrow and having read about traffic during rush hour, we may be there a few hours before we fly, so looking for a little bit of peace & quiet before boarding.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Hi again,
Is anyone able to answer this query please?
    Many thanks

  • Hi

Am going in March to NYC for two nights and then picking up a cruise for 9 nights. We get kicked off the cruise ship early in the morning and do not fly out until much later on that day. In order to try and do a bit more sight-seeing, is there anywhere we would be able to leave our suitcases? Thanks.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

Just hand them to a friendly cop. He'll be sure to look after them for you :)

Seriously, in the current security climate, it can be hard to find somewhere. One suggestion is to go to a hotel and offer the concierge/bell boy a decent tip to put it in their luggage storage room.

only real possibilities i can see are ask the hotel where you spend 2 nights if they can help you out,or email the airline and see if you could check the bags in early failing that i reckon you will be stuck with them.

About $160 a night including taxes etc - although I am still looking to find it cheaper

Whether good or not overall.. Works out well for me
I would love to try priceline too at some point, but was unable to this time as need to stay in a named place.

A relative of mine stayed there and reckons it was perfectly acceptable for what he wanted which was somewhere to crash at the end of a long day sightseeing.

Yes, of course there is. You need to head to Schwartz Travel - http://www.schwartztravel.com/ - and they have a left luggage service.

Johnnyroper / Doshwaster - you really think NYC, the city that never sleeps wouldn't have somewhere the OP could leave their luggage? ;)

I googled Priority Pass, and got on the Priority Pass website. It only shows places you can go in Terminal A or C. As I'm really unaware what a Priority Pass is, I can't help any more

Thank you for taking the time to check for me and respond.

Priority Pass is like a club you can join for a fee per year. It gives you access to lounges in airports, over 600 across the world I believe. You get one entry per membership and can take guests in for a small fee - about £15. We have membership via my husband's Amex card and use the lounges whenever we can for that bit of peace & quiet away from departures prior to boarding.

    Thanks again

NYC may be city that never sleeps but in these times of heightened security I did not think there would be such places, there are plenty of cities that don't sleep but I have not heard of such a service before.

You have obviously been to NYC plenty of times compared to my couple and as such have some knowledge on the subject, but is there any need to be so arrogant when replying to other peoples posts?

*sigh* the wink at the end of my post, the little smiley wink, means I'm kidding.
