Good luck to all of those trying to get flights home and also out to their destinations. Been a hell of a year for flights! I remember panicking about whether i would fly when all the volcanic ask fiasco was going on! You have my sympathies.

Does anyone know whether there are set times of year when there are flight sales? Are there any in Dec/Jan time?

If you think of specific questions, i'm sure we'll be able to help you. Otherwise it might be a bit difficult. Think of where in NY you want to stay, any specific areas, hotels, ratings etc? Have a look at some deals on websites, expedia etc to get a feel for the prices and what you can expect.

Dont know what to do ............ flights for june have come down to £363 via ebookers with iberia airline , code sharing so you fly direct with British Airways

Dont know if the price will come down after xmas............... Should I book or wait ha ha !!!

well , just looked on BA's website and the price with them is £322 going in june , so I booked up . I reckon that's a good price !!

£322 with the hike in fuel and taxes this year is a good price for june but from where are you travelling from because £322 from Chicago is dear.
