Hi costingbunny. I just wondered how you paid or your tickets in April, I'm having problems paying with an Egg mastercard, HSBC Visa Debit card and A&L Visa Debit card. None will go through on the ticketmaster exchange webpage, I suspect because the address fields are funny on there.0

NAZAMDCDA.
normally cheaper to DIY unless someone is offering a decent discount so theres your answer. Both ... All depends when your going ...how long.. where your staying...what you want... kayak for flights .. hotel connexions .... Airlines direct... some TA ...lastminute.com.. kwiktravel... the other big one ..xpedia (thats the one) find dates (flexible 3 days either way) Cheap flights are harder than cheap hotels so book that first or fully refundable hotels then match a flight from the closest 3 airports that fly to NYC. No difference between JFK and newark IMO if you get a cheaper flight from one. Come back with more info enjoy NYC:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

I've decided to treat myself and stay at the Waldorf Astoria for a week in the middle of August.
£1.8k for the week including flights, I've read some mixed reviews on trip advisor..
Was just wondering if anyone had any experience themselves of staying there?0 -

Can you buy discounted tickets at the TKTS booths though? I don't want to pay more than necessary as obviously holiday is costing a lot as it is, and I'd rather do lots of things, than one expensive thing! Any advice would be appreciated.
We brought our Knicks tickets through Stubhub and downloaded them straight away, worked well0 -

Just you or with someone else . Youve booked it enjoy it . A chance in a lifetime. One of the top named hotels in the world and full of history in a great location (IMO) Not stayed there but we looked at it in 2007 chose the Westin Times Square instead (better for wheelchairs from what we read before hand) Fantastic treat not really MSE but it is in a way because you can pay alot more for the Waldolf.
Waldolf is the old school of hotels and you really want to use all its charm and brown-nosing to get its benefits.Ring them to ensure you have a good view and complain if you havent etc (dont take second best)
Try for a flight upgrade. my MIL & FIL have just left for Goa for the winter and i emailed and phoned the airline to enquire how to pay for a bottle of champers on board as its there golden wedding anniversary (its not both second married only 28 years with a 33 yo daughter and hes not my real FIL either):p:p:p (oh did i tell you i called myself Dr Greenface too):p:p;):o:cool:but they said its not really possible to pay unless you give them the money to pay on board but they will pass on the message to the check in desk to wish them a happy anniversary and have a nice flight. Upgraded to prem econ and a half bottle of champers to boot . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
