2 years time will give you chance to save Hahaha .http://www.thebridalconsultant.co.uk/new-york-weddings/new-york-wedding-venues-central-park-conservatory-gardens.htm its a fabulous location in a stunning park in a beautiful city try and find decent but reasonable place for any guests to stay now and try to secure now with as small deposit as possible. Some stunning hotels around the park for you to choose on what you want and your budget find one then ask here and more so on Trip Advisor for advice on the best way to book rather than "Find me a place to stay" why not try to have a few days over there to suss out what and where your bearings are feb/march are priced reasonable if you book now and deals flights/rooms are there if you look. I think i will marry my next wife in NYC (dont tell my for now wife though) hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Hi, new to the site, have read hours of new york info- so thanks for tips. Going to N Y in feb with husband and 3 teenagers -13,16 and 17. Staying Affinia Gardens, plan to get metro card, have started making plan of where to visit.
Still struggling on best way to get from newark airport to hotel with there being 5 of us - are there taxi big enough for all of us, would limo service be better?
Was looking for something very memorable to do- as if trip itself isnt enough!! Looking at helicopter rides, unfortunately not found any with particuarly good reviews- so any recomendations appreciated
Thanks Jane
hi Jane
did you get a good deal with Affinia Gardens id love to stay at one of the Affinia hotels but all the searches im doing are coming up a little over my price range.

Sorry, me again! Also been looking at the Sex and the City tour or shopping tour- think it is showroom visits (?) Anyone been? Advice?
Hi ghdgirl
ive been on the sex and the city tour and i enjoyed it! although this was in 2008 so im assuming it will have changed slightly with the new movie coming out - im thinking they would have added different places.
the highlights for me was the cupcakes at magnolia bakery and the cosmo at steve and adians bar - although the cocktail isnt included in the price i think that was around $14+tip (i have no idea if this is an adverage price for a cosmo but id pay it again as its the best ive ever tasted!) but the cupcake is free.
it was good as a fan of the show to see some other the places they shot and to learn new stuff about the show.0 -
I've been thinking about buying nicks tickets for my OH's xmas present. I have found tickets online with the exchange part of ticketmaster. Can you buy discounted tickets at the TKTS booths though? I don't want to pay more than necessary as obviously holiday is costing a lot as it is, and I'd rather do lots of things, than one expensive thing! Any advice would be appreciated.0

Sorry, I should have pointed out that the tickets online are about $106 each.0

They seem really expensive. We went to the knicks a couple of years ago and got tickets for less than $20 through ticketmaster, not the exchange part though, just the official release of tickets. We were up top but had a great time. The exchange thing is just buying off touts isn't it?0

I don't know. I have another problem I've just noticed too, I can't pay with an english card, and they want to send me them in the post. There's no way they'd get to me in time as we leave in 8 days.0

If the only option is for them to send the tickets, then it must just be someone selling them on as you should be able to pick up at Will Call. What game are you looking at going to?0

Hi
I bought tickets from Ticketmaster for Knicks game last April and paid around £25 which included a hot dog and chips. We were up in the gods but you still have a great view - we paid with credit card a month or so in advance and then picked them up at MSG. Great atmosphere and lots of entertainmnet inbetween the many stops and starts of the game.0 -
Tips for cheap Flights to NYC? Looking to go over in the new year. Cheaper to buy flights seperate or better to go for a weekend package?0
