ok, officially hitting panic mode, with 6 days till we fly!!!
OMG i am sooooo excited!!!
I was wondering if there was anything i needed to know that was going on in NY next week? sales, holidays etc, think i have covered everything, but always happy to listen to others that are better informed.
Also, apart from the totr coupon that i have printed off, is there any other vouchers about for anything over there at the mo? i have tried looking but my head is sooo muddled at the mo, that everything is starting to look the same.
Thanks
How come your going in six days time all american airports are closed for a full week due to it being end of greenfaces jewish muslim and bullsh1tters holiday day parade and you can only get to the third floor of ToTR because of all the gas out of my b.u.m have a great break and if you dont mind paying a little excess (around 15 stone you can fit me in your case:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

Hi all, I've booked my hotel for late November but not the flight yet. I want to choose between BA and AA. Which would you personally choose? I think I may prefer BA but worried about strikes, although haven't heard anything of strikes lately. The price is exactly the same. Also BA and AA have joined forces, I don't know if that would make a difference if there was a strike.0

We are going in November hon, when are you flying out? We go on 23rd and come back 29th ( I think)
Personally I would fly BA, but that is just because I can complain to them here if anything goes wrong0 -
Hi Lady S, thanks, I've finally decided on AA because it was easier to check on which seat to choose. I'm flying out on the 18th November and returning on the 23rd. (LHR to JFK).
I may also book the Admirals Lounge for my return because I check out of my hotel at 12 pm but flight isn't until 6.30pm.0 -

Our flights back are always night flights so to maximise our time in nyc we leave our bags with the hotel, most of them offer baggage storage, and then pick them up later and get the cab at the same time, simple, this way you wont be hanging around the airport un-neccesarily, ironically im writing this from bratislava airport where we've been for the past 2 hours waiting for a plane which doesnt leave for another hour!Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

I'm flying out on the 3rd Nov. Got 2 hotels booked at present. The Sofitel in Manhattan at just under £1700 for 5 days and one in Queens for less than half the price. Probably will stay in Queens and take a 10 min subway ride into the city and save myself nearly £1k.
Doesn't seem to be an overly easy way of getting from Queens to Newark on the return though. Can either pay loads for a taxi or catch the subway to Times Square, then to Penn Station and onto Newark. Really need to see if there's anything else that doesn't cost the earth.0 -

I would rather stay in Manhattan - could you find another nice hotel, but maybe a little cheaper? That would save loads of hassle.0
