heres my input -- Havent been to murry hill but hotels are priced per room but there is some things to consider. Do you have use of the gym/pool brekkie etc email the hotel incognito and ask. or keep your head down and split up in a pairs both with a key. smile on the way in and meet up at your room Its only if you come in sloshed and get a bit stroppy etc theyll notice you. (tip to the doorman goes well)

Cheers for the input :) We have a barebones package. The room has 2 beds, shower, kitchen area etc but I dont think we have use of anything the hotel has to offer as we picked the cheapest package. We have to pay extra if we want breakfast or to use any pool/gym equipment they may have. I will try and get an email address and drop an anonymous email to them to double check :D
  • Just back from 4 days in the Big Apple and already want to go back. Our itinery was:
Day1 - Flight arrived at midday (hotel - Wyndham Garden - by 2pm). Then off to Central Park via Times Square to get our bearings. Dinner at Tony's Di Napoli (fab Italian)
Day2 - Picked up our CitySights tickets early then off for breakfast before Liberty Cruise at 11am. Sit downstairs so you can get out on the bow of the ship when it leaves. Best seats in the house. Downtour Tour to the Seaport then joined the Brooklyn Tour. Rejoined Downtown Tour back to Times Square. Dinner at Hourglass Tavern (great New York Strip) then off on Night Tour.
Day3 - Top of the Rock (amazing), Uptown Tour then Bloomies, 5th and Macy's for some shopping. Dinner at Virgils (great BBQ).
Day4 - Shopping before leaving the hotel at 3pm

    Hope this helps someone.

There is rarely a queue at totr also add to that if you prebook the weather may take a turn for the the worse and it will be a waste of time going up.

So just turn up and enjoy the view.
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right

Ok, another question sorry, Was wondering what tattoo artists were like in NY. Price wise and busyness wise. its my/oh 10 year wedding ann. and we decided we want tatts, but it would be great to have them done there.

  • Small tip: When your there, find a great low cost dinner that gives massive breakfast's at a low cost. (watch where the cops go - they know) many do for just a few dollars and portions are huge (Canadian bacon yum!) they often give unlimited coffee, toast, free fruit juice refills. Fill up and eat loads so you can skip the often overpriced (and not so nice lunches). Saved us a fortune doing this :)
  • any tips with ones you found?

I looked into a small wrist/ankle tattoo with www.savedtattoo.com which is owned by the guy that did Heath Ledger's tattoo... Scott Campbell - he's well known in the industry.. and for somneone in his shop to do it..(its in brooklyn) it was $200.
